Grant Neal, a black student-athlete at Colorado State, was having tremendous success both on the football field and in the classroom. He played a key role in winning the 2014 NCAA National Title and received accolades for his work in the pre-med program. However, Grant's life took an unexpected turn when he was indefinitely suspended from Colorado State on false charges of sexual assault. He wasn't able to return to football in the NCAA and his dream of becoming a professional football player was destroyed.

He is probably guilty.
CSU-Pueblo, former football player Grant Neal agree to lawsuit settlement – The Denver Post

The investigation began in 2015 when the university received a tip from a student about the alleged incident. Neal was suspended indefinitely from school when it was concluded that he “engaged in nonconsensual sexual intercourse.”

Neal was not charged in court for rape or any other crime. Neal’s girlfriend did not accuse Neal of nonconsensual intercourse, and Neal said what took place was consensual.
