This joker had actually the nerve to demand that the Russian probe regarding Trump be ended because, ultimately the probe is hurting the conservative brand and, as we all know, partisanship and cult membership, "trumps" the pursuit of justice.

Gowdy's obvious hypocrisy boils down to this simple fact.....

Gowdy headed the Benghazi probe for almost FOUR years and produced ZERO indictments and [of course] ZERO convictions.

Mueller,on the other hand, has headed the Russian probe on Trump's possible ties to corruption and piss poor hiring of his un-American staff, for LESS than 400 days and has (so far) produced the following:

The result was a disaster. Gowdy’s Benghazi panel spent millions of taxpayer dollars chasing down bizarre conspiracy theories, asking questions that had already been answered, and pulling together evidence that had already been exhaustively reviewed.

The result was a committee that was needlessly partisan, needlessly secretive, and ultimately pointless. Even Republicans who hoped the Benghazi Committee would produce anti-Clinton fodder were left to wonder about the point of this lengthy and unproductive exercise.

Indeed, this probe was among the longest in American history, and when it comes to congressional scrutiny of specific individual events – Pearl Harbor, 9/11, the Kennedy Assassination, Watergate, etc. – the Benghazi investigation was the longest ever.

The United States announced on Tuesday that it had captured a suspected ringleader of the deadly 2012 attack on the US diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, in a secret operation over the weekend.

Four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed in the Benghazi attacks, which ignited a political firestorm in Washington.

US forces captured Ahmed Abu Khatallah in Libya on Sunday with the help of law enforcement personnel and were holding him at a secure location outside the country, Rear Admiral John Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary, said.

A US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Khatallah was being held aboard an American ship after he was grabbed on the outskirts of Benghazi in an operation carried out by US special operations forces.

The news of Khatallah’s capture is as a win for US President Barack Obama, who faced intense criticism over his administration’s handling of the attack.

Republicans had accused the Obama administration of playing down the role of al Qaeda in the attack for political reasons. They also said then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had failed to take adequate steps to ensure the safety of US diplomatic personnel, an issue that is still resonating as Clinton considers a run for the presidency in 2016.
