Government Must Get Out of Healthcare

I have been gainfully employed since the mid '70's and the only thing that has affected my employer sponsored Health Care Coverage is the United States Federal Government (Congress). My 1st job out of school paid for everything, dental, vision and health. After that the personal cost to me has gone from $75 a month to now over $400 a month for the same family, and the only thing that has affected it is our governments involvement.

Regulations are needed to some extent, that we have over regulated is an understatement. If the currently elected officials cannot find a neutral position that protects the American Workers, we need to find someone who does. D.C. is the front door to Hell at the moment...

There will always be people like you who drop your pants and grab your ankles for government.

Do I need the government controlling car insurance like it does HC insurance?

Nope. If my car insurance is not making me happy I go to another.

Do I need the government controlling my local store like it does HC insurance?

Nope. If my store is not making me happy I go to another.

What are you afraid of?

The Government has immense collective power. The power of 300 million people. If the government can offer a good or service to the public at a cheaper rate than they can get in the private sector....why won't you let them?

When bureaucrats and politicians spend other people’s money to create services they won’t themselves consume, only bad things happen.

Reagan was right, Medicare would lead to socialized medicine.

Once government got a foothold into health care, they will never get back out and will continue to take more of it over until they have complete control.

The problem them becomes, people have no advocate now. If government screws them, which they will, they have no one to complain to except maybe their local representative who will promptly ignore them.

Then they can vote to get them out of office who will also promptly ignore them.

Then they can vote them out of office who will also promptly ignore them.

For the last time, just because the NAZI party claimed to be socialist and had socialist policies, such as government run health care, they were not really socialists. They were really Tea Party members.

Dolt.

Let me ask you why prescription drugs are so much cheaper in other countries?
The reason is because their government negotiates with the drug companies and demands lower prices

Our government has given in to the capitalists. Let the drug companies charge what they want.....the consumer will pick up the cost

Just because the NAZI party took from those they believed had too much, violently attacked anyone who did not go along with them, ran everything thru a centralized government, ...........

Dufus, government is the reason costs are so high.

But I can go along with your position. Democrats had the chance to negotiate cheap pharmaceuticals but instead only let them skyrocket higher.

So did Republicans under Bush's Medicare Part D for prescriptions
Both parties are controlled by Big Pharm and will do nothing to upset the revenue flow

Other governments get involved in negotiating prescription prices. If you want to sell prescriptions to the 20-30 million people in our country....here is what you can charge. The drug companies drop the prices

Imagine what the US, with 300 million people could negotiate

The government is the reason you're relying on your employer for insurance in the first place, tard.

It sure is

We should have gone to universal healthcare decades ago. Instead, we trusted the care of our citizens to their employers

Yes, nothing says brilliance like wanting faceless bureaucrats to decide whether you live, suffer, or die. You know you're dealing with a really intelligent person when they advocate that.

You think it is brilliant to allow your employer, who is looking to make a buck, decide what insurance you should have?
Is it brilliant to allow an insurance company who is out for profit to make life and death decisions for you?

The Government can represent 300 million people in the insurance market. That is an immense bargaining tool with healthcare providers
