What's your favorite Led Zeppelin song? Are you a populist Stairway to Heaven type, or do you like something a little less well known?

Me, personally, I've taken a great liking to "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You"

What about you?

Kashmir might be my second fav. It was slightly ruined when Plant sold out to P. Diddy for the Godzilla soundtrack. Still a great song though... even made diddy's version listenable once and awhile...

No, not recently.

I was always especially partial to "Good Times Bad Times".
The first two lines, then the wrenching guitar, really hooked me:
"In the days of my youth
I was told what it means to be a man,"

In the days of my youth
I was told what it means to be a man,
Now I've reached the age
I've tried to do all those things the best I can.
No matter how I try,
I find my way into the same old jam.

*Good Times, Bad Times,
You know I had my share;
When my woman left home
For a brown eyed man,
Well, I still don't seem to care.

Sixteen: I fell in love
With a girl as sweet as could be,
Only took a couple of days
Till she was rid of me.
She swore that she would be all mine
And love me till the end,
But when I whispered in her ear
I lost another friend, oooh.

* Chorus

I know what it means to be alone,
I sure do wish I was at home.
I don't care what the neighbors say,
I'm gonna love you each and every day.
You can feel the beat within my heart.
Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part.

It's true, the opening of that song is good.

Hey--even I know those dudes! Besides the thrill of repetatively strumming to the air guitar to "Whole lotta love", I gotta go with "Since I've been loving you", "Immigrant Song", "Gallows pole"--

That's a good one. Haven't heard that in a long time.

I recently moved my mother into a smaller house (ugh) but lots of treasures were to be found including some old reel-to-reel recordings I had made of Zeppelin songs from albums one through three. ahh memories.

That IS a good find. My BIL still uses his reel to reel player.

I'm planning on using this one too---it's an old Sanyo ( from the 60s ) . It weighs a TON. Amazing how far we technology has come.

I'm serious. At least...at very least Milli Vanilli makes me feel like dancing.

:)
What specifically do you not like about Led Zeppelin, or do you just not like music unless you can dance to it?
