This is a consumerism mock-trial involving characters from the American comic book franchise Batman (DC Comics). Batman is an urban vigilante who tackles the criminally-insane who threaten the stability of modernism Metropolis.
This is dedicated to 'TrumpUSA.'

JUDGE: I therefore conclude this is a trial of the Joker!
JOKER: I plead the 200th (as in 200 reasons to plead ignorance).
BATMAN: This trial is a mockery of democracy/justice.
HARLEEN: Stay quiet Batman! Joker deserves a fair-trial.
JUDGE: I'll preside over that claim, Harleen...
JOKER: Harleen, might I comment on your lovely attire!
BATMAN: Let's keep this clean.
HARLEEN: Joker's claim is that capitalism is to chaotic to take seriously.
JUDGE: So the Joker pleads 'conscientious objection' to 'capitalism-bureaucracy.'
JOKER: I suggest we take a recess and watch Hoop Dreams!
BATMAN: The Joker's defense of the American Dream is a farce.
HARLEEN: My client (Joker) claims consumerism is a circus.
JUDGE: So since Burger King and Wall Street are 'funny, terrorism is sane?
JOKER: What's so sane about Wall Street piracy, Batman?
BATMAN: I don't have to defend an entire system to a terrorist...
HARLEEN: Yes, you do Batman! Joker believes piracy is capitalism.
JUDGE: Harleen, your client (Joker) believes commerce is 'shaky.'
JOKER: Will the Winter Olympics (South Korea) catalyse peaceful-trade?
BATMAN: I suppose the 'wise' alternative is 9/11!
HARLEEN: No one is advocating anarchy, but is Joker correct?
JUDGE: Does consumerism create unnatural frivolity?
JOKER: I'm simply a 'psychiatry' freedom-fighter.
BATMAN: You're promoting madness among pedestrians (e.g., L.A. Race Riots).
HARLEEN: Isn't capitalism also pornography?
JUDGE: Are you suggesting that Wall Street promotes lewdeness?
JOKER: I remember a Super Bowl ad endorsed by Playboy magazine...
BATMAN: I'm sure that made you squirm like an 'ethics-priest.'
HARLEEN: Let's determine if consumerism promotes harlotry.
JUDGE: Many think Joker is a dangerous 'Devil's Advocate.'
JOKER: I predict countless consumers fighting over Star Wars dolls this Christmas.
BATMAN: The role of the law is to provide arbitration in cases of undesirable anarchy.
HARLEEN: My final argument is that Joker is a 'victim' of capitalism unpredictability.
JUDGE: I don't think Joker can get away with a simply criminal-insanity plea...
JOKER: Somehow, I knew the legal system would not hear my pleas of art.
BATMAN: There's nothing 'artistic' about anti-social mischief.
