Going to be an interesting convention if the hurricane hits.

I don't suppose there's any chance FMA won't be able to find the convention hall for four days like happened when BUSH II was in office, though.

Now that we have a POTUS who doesn't hate government, FEMA will probably do its job and actually SAVE people.

Gee, Ed...FEMA worked just fine in Florida during Hurricane Charlie...it was over in Louisiana where they couldn't seem to get their shit together. What was the difference back then? I believe that the main problem was you had a Democratic Mayor of New Orleans that was incompetent and you had a Democratic Governor that was incompetent. Bobby Jindal's the Governor now, so I'm confident that things will be handled correctly on the State level.

I'm sure Barry will use this rather small storm to shower as much of "our" money onto as many people as he possibly can.

Isaac is now a tripical storm and looks like its headed for LA and the panhandle of Fl.

It can gain speed and intensity over the Gulf but right now its a tropical storm. Folks are taking precautions and rightly so.

You really are clueless, Ravi....just because the center of Issac was far to the left of Florida doesn't mean we haven't gotten hit by rain bands from the system. The east coast of Florida was hit especially hard. If you left your parents basement once in a while you'd know stuff like that.

Isaac is a very slow moving storm, 300 miles wide and covering Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida panhandle. That will cause storm surges for up to 24 hours, because it's moving so slowly.
