They said Government doesn't work, so when voted into office, they broke it.

They said government can't regulate so they deregulated everything related to business and regulated woman and gays and minority Americans.

They said we can't "nation build" and then invaded Iraq to show America it can't be done.

They said Obama can't make the hard choices and then tried to take credit for getting Bin Laden.

They asked, "Where is the president's plan"? And when he came up with one that 75% spending cuts and 25% revenue, they walked out.

First they said, "Democrats won't negotiate" and then said, "It's our way or the high way".

So when Republicans say, "Government doesn't work", they are right. Every time they are voted into office, they make sure "Government doesn't work" just to prove they were right from the very beginning.

Bloated bureaucracy doesn't work for anyone except the bloated bureaucrats. You can't solve problems by creating another government agency staffed by no-nothings to make arbitrary and often conflicting rules that stifle progress. You could say that the democrat party is the party of self-fulfilling prophecy in a lot of ways. The segregrigationist party created the "great society" that kept Black people on the government plantation and ruined Black families. Let's face it.... no one has benefited more from the past 30 years more than the extremely wealthy.... no one... Not one slice of our country has seen more in the way of financial success than those that were already wealthy to begin with, and the "new money" that happened to be lucky enough to nail two things together in a new way. The rest of the population(which is the vast majority of the nation) has suffered while they raked it in.

But you know what? There's not ONE of us progressives that want to "take all their money and redistribute it". That is nothing more than right wing hyperbolic fear mongering.

We see that Health Care Costs are skyrocketing... BECAUSE of the "FOR PROFIT" Health Care system we have. We see unfunded wars(Obama's included) raging on with no real end in sight and see how much it's costing us. We see an almost insurmountable Trade Deficit that is killing us to the tune of over $500B/year.

Then we hear from the Shiites that it's Social Security(a funded entity) and Medicare(also funded) that is killing us... All because they don't want to hurt big business, which is very much involved in our health care system and making shit for our military.

We see the hypocrisy of people who want government out of their lives, but want to legislate against abortion or homosexuality, or even repealing the Civil Rights Amendment.

So yeah... I do believe that there are moderates. Do you believe there are moderates on our side?.... that seems to be the real question... because like I said... negative posts against Progressives are here in a 10:1 ratio(at least).

I am against MOST gun Control. I believe in Capitalism... up to the point where it is now... killing our country. I believe in God, I love my country and I served it proudly in the early 80's.

But to many of these people on here, I am a Communist and anti-American... just because they think they are the "real Patriots" and we are trying to subvert their "America". Well, to that... I say.... It's our America too.
