GOP strategy - disrupted Dem town hall meetings

I guess you missed THIS part of the "memo"

We will be travelling the state to provide a similar reality-check for all five of the Reps, and of course Chris Dodd.

Still fail. The context clearly indicates that they will be traveling the state in order to organize the constituents within the district where the townhall is being held.

More Far-Right Violence? Anti-Immigrant Suspects In Arizona Killing Have Ties To White Supremacists

By Zachary Roth - June 16, 2009, 12:48PM

The recent murders of a Kansas doctor who performed late-term abortions and of a guard at the National Holocaust Museum have stoked fears of a rise in right-wing extremist violence -- just as that much-maligned DHS report predicted. And now it looks like we've got another one to add to the list...

According to local law enforcement, three people posing as police officers forced their way into the home of Raul Flores in Arivaca, Arizona, about 10 miles from the Mexican border, on May 30. They shot and killed Flores and his nine-year-old daughter, and wounded Flores' wife. The three, Shawna Forde, Jason Bush, and Albert Gaxiola, were arrested and charged last Thursday and Friday.

nice deflection. well, not really.

so far we've got informed citizens going to town hall meetings and questioning their elected reps.

ooooooooh, those evil right wing, statist, pea brains!

Hey del, if you share the same aspirations for America as insurance corporations and pharmaceutical corporations; that America doesn't need health care reform. And if you support oil corporations, mining cartels and other polluters that believe we have a perfectly good energy policy and you are convinced America doesn't have to be close to number one in education to compete in the 21st century then GO FOR IT...

Just don't expect to not be called a PEA brain...

We had 8 years were NONE of these issues were addressed... NOW Republicans only want THAT to continue...

:razz:Works both ways, peope. Both ways:razz:

Bullshit, liberals get challenged on the issues and they melt like a grilled cheese sandwich, then resort to any and every lame brain tactic under the sun..........

So constituents are exercising their freedoms, and unsurprisingly Democrats have a problem with this.

Anything else?

No, it's oh so "constitutionally correct" to act like a bunch of raging bulls and banshees. These new and extremely arrogant "conservatives" are only proving that the total demise of America is just over the horizon. Intelligence, which comes from analysis of information, is sadly lacking when grown adults just make fools of themselves.

Keep in mind that "Town Hall Meetings" are supposed to be citizen's meetings not democrat citizen's meetings. If they are meant to be Democrat meetings they would be campaign events. We are not in the campaign season now, we are in a season of public input and debate for and about policies being proposed into bills to be voted on in both houses of congess. This is how representative democracy works.

So does that mean they shouldn't just shut up and listen--FIRST?

Who are these " new and extremely arrogant " conservatives that you speak of ?

And if they aren't a fabrication of your imagination, you wouldn't have a problem with a tame, conservative version of ACORN would you ? ........:eusa_whistle:

worst .........

Strawman...........

Ever ...........

What I want to know is where are the disorderly conduct arrest?

We recently had a man arrested for shouting on his front porch. Now we have people shouting and disrupting in a public place.

The same people who were all for a man being arrested on his front porch would fucking freak if we actually arrested some people that were actually being disorderly, in public, with the intent to be disorderly and disruptive.

Are you saying the politician or his/her constituent should "just shut up and listen--FIRST?"

Got a REAL source? One that is credible and can actually produce the evidence of the claims?

Yep...

A leaked memo from Bob MacGuffie, a volunteer with the FreedomWorks website Tea Party Patriots, details how members should be infiltrating town halls and harassing Democratic members of Congress:

FreedomWorks memo.pdf

So? This is how townhalls should work.

You want mindless drones nodding to everything the speaker says, go hire Karl Rove and his staged crap.

If the policy can't be defended by the speaker, then it's not a policy that's worth having.

Oh bullcrap. How old are you, twelve? I've been to every one of my town meetings prior to election day where the public can air their grievances and ask questions of the speakers, and they ALL were respectful even though often visibly angry. They didn't arrive en mass with hate signs and spittle dripping from their rabid mouths.

Helpful hint:

When you break out the broad brush, make sure you hold it with the bristles pointed away from you.

are those the only two options? how about NOT the Karl-Rove-only-allow-the-people-who-agree-with-you-to-be-present...

and NOT a bunch of people told to go in and just yell so no one learns anything or gets to express a REAL opinion...

how 'bout people act civilly so maybe they find out what they DO agree on?

or is that too complex for the loons?

I enjoy spirited debate. I love the shouting that the British parliament does.

Plus, when you allow in the general public, you're going to get shouting. If they become too disruptive they can be escorted out. If you're a talented politician you can this to your advantage, like Obama did during the campaign (that was extremely swift thinking on his feet).

Like I said before, if you can't defend your position in a spirited debate, then it's not worth defending.

What is going on can hardly be described as "spirited debate" my friend... These are a bunch of revolutionary lunatics who hate Barack Obama, period, and are working behind the scenes to try to bring him down in whatever way they can. Did this kind of SHIT go on when Clinton took office and shocked the conservative world? No, because adults acted like adults even a decade ago.

What the fuck has happened to my country? This isn't a fucking videogame being played out, children. Grow up.
