When the Income Tax was implemented it WAS only on the Top 1% of wage earners. Now Gov't has grown so large that everyone must suffer under Confiscatory Tax Policy.

Also, did you know that the Income Tax only goes to paying the INTEREST on the National debt? The Interest is charged by the Privately Owned Federal Reserve who LOANS the Gov't money to operate every year.

If the Congress were to take back that power, which is mandated by the Constitution and Congress has "Outsourced" to the Fed, we'd have no Income Tax. No one would have to pay it.

My Income Tax withholding on my last check was about 30% so almost 1/3 of my check went to paying the Banksters to loan money to the US Gov't. Again, that's only the Interest on the loan not the Principle.

If you think all of your income tax goes only to interest on the debt, you are one of the biggest idiots on the planet sucking up valuable oxygen.

As for the days before so many people paid income taxes, the government got its revenues from corporate taxes and excise taxes. I think a move back toward consumption taxes is a great idea.
