Cut the elderly a check and let them go shop for health care.

(Let them shop for policies for 80 year olds. Lot's of insurance companies sell those. Uh, let's see, health care or cat food. Which is it?)

Open insurance across state lines.

(Because Virginia has such success regulating companies in California.)

All it would do is cut benefits for the middle class while slashing taxes on the rich.

And I do mean slash. The Tax Policy Center finds that the Ryan plan would cut taxes on the richest 1 percent of the population in half, giving them 117 percent of the plan’s total tax cuts. That’s not a misprint. Even as it slashed taxes at the top, the plan would raise taxes for 95 percent of the population.

How long will a Republican base support their destruction by their leadership?

Funny how the right can support trillions in tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires but complain the deficit is growing. So rich people who rarely go into the military and made billions and billions in Iraq shouldn't have to "pay" because it's "their" money? I fail to see the "Right Wing Republican" logic. Don't they have an oil company to apologize to?

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO JOBS JOBS JOBS????

Let's raise the retirement age so we can have 70 year old policemen and firemen. How about a 70 year old waiter, or better yet, a "life guard"?

Yes, you're right.

JOBS JOBS JOBS

The rant of the right. They must have gotten those jobs since their leadership seems to have lost interest.

more people are losing their jobs every week.....so how is the Left helping?.....

Why not ask, "What is the right doing to help?" They ruined the economy. They say tax cuts for right people will solve the problem. Well, has it? Where is the right wing accountability? Right wing solutions? Why does the right always look to the left for solutions and then do everything they can to stand in their way?

Didn't we already try Trickle Down? :eusa_whistle:

Simplified Income Tax Rates. In contrast to the six tax rates in the current code, the simplified tax has just two rates: 10 percent on adjusted gross income [AGI] (as defined below) up to $100,000 for joint filers, and $50,000 for single filers; and 25 percent on taxable income above these amounts.

It also says that insurance would be available for people of all ages and any pre-exisiting condition.
Guaranteed Access to Care. The Exchange will require all participating insurers to offer coverage to any individual regardless of the patient’s age or health history.

Some of it sounds pretty good but we must wait and see what eventually gets cut and changed after the special interest crowd get through with it.

i live in a LEFT controlled State Dean......has been for quite a while......yet every week i am seeing more people getting Unemployment Checks.....and People getting Certified Letters from the Banks......WHAT IS THE LEFT doing to help?......when Jerry Brown revealed his plan it seemed like the first people mentioned to get cuts were the POOR and INFIRMED....how is the "Passionate" Left helping these people who are already struggling?....i thought you said only Republicans dont care about the Downtrodden?......it seems your wrong....

Why should the GOP have to say jobs, jobs, jobs? Because Obie-wan spent a Trillion dollars like a political activist junkie with a stolen ATM card and we don't have a thing to show for it after two years? At least give the GOP a couple of months before you start all the whining lefties. Whatever the republican majority accomplishes, it will be better than the last two years.

Whitie, you left out the trillions in tax cuts to the top 1%. Means they don't have to pay for the two wars. Or the Republican 5 trillion dollar drugs for votes plan from 2003 passed through reconciliation like the tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.

I know those slipped your mind. Hope I helped.

So these right wingers are saying they support 70 year old police and firemen and waiters and construction workers?

Is that their message?

Yes, and it still hasn't worked.
Big Business is sitting on around $2 Trillion. Banks won't loan to small business.
