GOP prepares bill that will addess seperating children from parents

Sessions is putting a stop to the asylum abuse. Seems 80% of all request for asylum were found to be falsified

-Geaux

According to who?
The DOJ. See link above

-Geaux

And most get turned away and deported.
I agree. Hence the 80% who lied about the reason they were requesting asylum

-Geaux
Not necessarily. They may have been truthful about the reasons but those reasons don’t fall within the legal categories.

Every Mom and Dad arrested for breaking the law are separated from their children. Being arrested as an illegal immigrant is no different. That's the risk parents take when they decide to break the law

-Geaux
It is different. The difference being the former policy treated it as a civil matter and the new policy treats it as a criminal matter. You are looking for ways to justify a horrific practice that has now resulted in thousands of kids detained in crowded facilities spread over 15 states. You better hope you don’t lose any.
Then the parents are to blame for being arrested. Wonder if anyone in the jail over in Nashville feels upset they are separated from their children? Our country needs a stronger deterrent for illegal immigration. By enforcing the law, maybe parents will think twice and consider the risk of being separated from their children.

-Geaux
So punish the children to get at the parents. Typical RWNJ reasoning.

Nothing in the article or the guidance supports any such claim.
((((((YAWN)))))))

Most of that rise was due to increases in El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, three countries that, during this period, saw a spike in violent crime, leading to a sharp increase in asylum claims. Mexico, a much larger country, didn’t see a similar spike, and the number of people receiving asylum didn’t increase, either.

At the same time, these four countries were among the five nations with the highest rates of declined asylum requests for those with more than 1,000 requests per year, according to TRAC’s 2016 data. Nearly 9 in 10 requests from Mexico were rejected between 2011 and 2016. About 83 percent of requests from El Salvador were rejected over that period, as were 80 percent from Honduras and 77 percent from Guatemala. Combined, there were about 40,000 requests from those four countries over a five-year period.

Analysis | Sessions didn’t show how curtailing asylum requests for domestic violence is worth the cost

No, when parents break the law and are arrested for crimes, they have considered it acceptable risk to be separated from their children

-Geaux

You Trump suckers make up 30 percent of the fucking population and what you and Trump believes endangers the other 70 percent. So why don't you guys take Trump have him use his "great wealth", buy an island and live by his rules.

I just don't give a damn about this shit.
If you commit a crime that requires your detention you will lose your children for the duration of your detention no matter who you are or where you're from.

Why should these illegal scumbags get special treatment?

Tell you what, stay the fuck on your own land and you won't lose your kids for the average 54 days.

I couldn't agree more. They should all be booted back to Mexico. Let the Mexicans deal with their dumb asses.

More 5 year old pics of little beaners in cages please....Barry felt their pain....and ignored it.

From what I understand, illegal entry is a misdemeanor. It's certainly not a serious crime considering we've allowed it to go on for decades because it's benefited everyone, so why all of a sudden the inhumane treatment by separating families as additional punishment? Gonna teach 'em a lesson some say, but why not start teaching a lesson to employers of illegals also? Even our president has used illegals for cheap labor in the past.

so Trump is going to preside over correcting another injustice that Obama ignored?

thanks for letting us know
Trump created this particular injustice by putting a new policy in place that chose to pursue illegal immigration as a criminal matter instead of a civil matter, and decided on 100% seperation of children under the new policy. Time to stop blaming Obama for everything Trump does badly.
no, this was being done during Obama's years

these parents thart are putting their children in this positionare awful; no better than a parent that robs a store and gets sent to jail. really. Because kids who have parents that rob a store get seperated as well

the answer, do not break the law

when you break the law; the people you love, including children get hurt

Trump is enforcing the law

we CAN NOT let these people come here as they please

if their children have consequences because THEY broke the law - tough shit - again, do not break the law

NO ONE screamed or complained when this happened on Obama's watcj - NO ONE

yes, it is happening with more frequency; I do want to see the kids stay with parents when possible

but they ALL need to go home

the immigration policy is a big part of why we have more jobs and higher wages

if a child winds up suffering conswquences because their parent broke the law; it is heartbreaking

but blame the shitty parent; not the person who enforces the law

This was not being done during the Obama years.
yes it was

not as frequently, as Jug Ears did not enforce our laws as diligently, but yes it was

I care more about the American kids - sorry

letting them stay here is not an option; so what do you propose?

This was not done during Obama.

The Congressional GOP knows that this policy is improving the chances of a blue wave in November...that is why they are frantically trying to stop it....

Adolph trump doesn't care....he and his crime family are safe and getting richer....

Simple solution even an idiot left tard should be able to grasp....don't illegally enter a country

No sympathy for them
Yes, we know. You disgrace your religion.

Dude cease posting shit thinking you know me ...fucking troll. Even the Bible says to obey laws ya damn dumbass

The bible says plenty about harming children that you seem to have forgotten.
good point

there is a special place in hell for the crappu parents who are so irresponsible that they put their children in harms way

those ARE NOT the kind of people we need here in America

round them up and ship them back!

this is anothere reason we need a bih, beautiful wall

more jobs and higher wages for Americans (not to mention less drugs); less temptation for shitty parents from south of the border

a win for everybody

Now we have all these new special places in hell.

Because the increase in crossing reflects badly on Trump. So instead of just sending the families back, as we used to do, we spend money incarcerating them until we can prosecute them.

Analysis | Why separate immigrant children from parents? The politics of fear — just indirectly.

And that btw is why he said he would not sign the REPUBLICAN compromise bill on immigration the House spent weeks negotiating apparently the naïve belief that Trump would sign it.

Actually...many times, when they are arrested exceptions to incarceration prior to trial are made if they are found to be the sole caretaker of dependents.

Regardless you are punishing the children in order to punish the parents.
