GOP Overreach: The Mess That Greed and Ignorance Made

The GOP told us exactly what they were planning.

I may not like their plan, (in fact I think it's evil) but it isn't like they've been lying about it.

Now that isn't entirely true. Governor Wanker and his other right wing tool governors did NOT say they were going to decimate collective bargaining. They clearly over-reached. Quickest case of buyers remorse ever is going on in states like Wisconsin and Ohio. Silver lining is that these Republican/Tea Bagger governors are making sure those states go as blue as a smurfs ass come 2012.

LOL, yeah, all that isn 3 MONTHS.
and you have a crystal ball, can you tell me what lotto numbers are coming up?

Yes...all that in three months. Wisconsin, Ohio...and I think we can probably add Florida to the mix...all cases of buyers remorse in RECORD time. If Wanker doesn't get recalled in a year, he certainly won't make it another term. Likely he doesn't even care. He doesn't care about being governor or governing. He only seems to care about how much money he can get the Koch brothers before he leaves the office to go work for THEM.

making public sector employees pay a little bit more for their benefits = decimating? Get a grip, and get out of fantasy land you tool.

Bullshit, but the way the GOP spins shit, asking the richest 2% to pay more taxes is decimating job creation and stopping these rich 2% from giving to charities. Who stands to be hurt more, the teachers or thr richest 2%?

what you call the "rich" earned their money, these public sector workers are trying to STEAL money from taxpayers. There is a big difference and you always going back to rich-envy just shows your true character, a cowardly fool who needs to be sucked off by the government instead of helping yourself and paving your own way.

Public sector workers don't earn their fucking money? What special, improved pot have you been smoking? GE, on the other hand, made a huge profit, paid no fucking taxes and got a tax refund, thats called stealing fucking money you moronic piece of shit, no when you reply be sure to include facts, not fiction and rightwing talking points bullshit.

I don't know about that Seawytch.

The GOP has a LONG LONG LONG history of laothing unionism.

And while they might not have specifically stated that they planned on ending collective bargaining, given that collective bargaining is the bedrock fundamental of unionism, I'd say that they've been telling us for decades that they'd like to end it.

The GOP is evil, but it is not (at least as it pertains to unions) hypocritical.

While that is certainly true, Wanker could not have RUN on that and won, especially not in Wisconsin. Clearly and over reach in order to give a reach around to the Koch brothers.

YES, he could have, moron. I live here. I talk to people right here in Wisconsin daily, and there's more people NOT in a union, by a LONG shot, than there are, and we're sick of these fucking SOCIALISTS in this state sucking off the tax payers tit. There's even people here that have been FORCED into unions that don't want to be, and they're also being FORCED into paying that union dues, which 95% of goes directly into getting DEMOCRATS ELECTED, and even though they're in these unions, THEY DON'T SUPPORT THEM. It's an unholy alliance that has been birthing outrageous benefits packages, wages and too much power, and it was time to bring it down. The socialist here went ape shit, along with the DNC who shipped in thousands of people from out of state to protest. Well boo fucking hoo. Wake up to 2011 and smell the fucking coffee... THE STATE IS BROKE, THE FED IS BROKE, AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF THE GROSS SPEND, SPEND, SPEND LIKE THE WIND MORONS IN GOVERNMENT, AND IT CAN'T FUCKING CONTINUE. What part about that don't you IGNORANT, LIBERAL, SOCIALIST MOTHER FUCKERS UNDERSTAND?

nice to show your incompetency in the english language. Why do public sector employees deserve such lavish benefits over private sector? And funny you bring up GE, getting its tax breaks from democrats. Cute.

Funny that the polls in your state don't back up your rant.

I don't give a fuck about that private/public sector shit, if the private sector feels like they're being given less benefits maybe they ought to switch jobs, thats not a reason to take away from public sector employees, its their fucking choice when they chose to work for those private sector jobs with so called "less benefits," but when adjusted for educational background and experience the private sector isn't being given all these "lavish" fucking benefits you retard. Please, keep regurgitating rightwing bullshit from Foxnew, because you can't show any examples of all public employees getting lavish benefits you dickhead.

LOL Nothing will go blue if it works my friend.

Gee. What happened in Indiana when Daniels did the same??

His poll numbers plummeted but guess what?? What he did worked. Indiana is doing great now and he was re-elected no problem.

I envision the same for WI and Ohio and any other State where a Gov thats doing the same.

It's going to be fun watching his ensuing meltdown when the recall election is a go.

The correct question should have been

Why do private sector employees deserve such crappy benefits?

But that would take a social-science intuitive leap that you are, as yet, unprepared to take.

In the military we have officers and enlisted, senior enlisted like myself earn more or less than commissioned officers who may or may not have less time in service and experience, the officers get better housing and privileges that enlisted don't get, but people in the military don't bitch about it, why? Its a choice, a soldier has a choice to be enlisted or commissioned, what would it look like if enlisted went around bitching and moaning that officers should get paid less instead of saying that they as enlisted should be getting paid MORE money and get MORE benefits?

Hey Dickhead. Its far from rightwing FOX BS.

You might wanna Google NY, Cali, NJ and ILL. You might wanna take a peak at what the unionized public sector employees are getting in those States. You also might wanna check out the property taxes in those States.

In case you've forgotten Public sector jobs are payed for with TAX DOLLARS. Private sectors jobs are payed for with EARNINGS.

I guess its okay with you if the taxpayers in those states get hosed??

What am I saying. Of course its Okay. After all your Flylo.

They all get the same benefits, only the pay changes. In my "government job" it is only the "enlisted" that are asking to increase their cost shares for pension and benefits. The "officers" still have ZERO cost share and they get MUCH better benefits. They get them for LIFE...my benefits end when I retire from there. Thank goodness for my military benefits which I DO get for life.

David A. Love: GOP Overreach: The Mess That Greed and Ignorance Made

In this last election cycle, the Grand Overreaching Party seized control of the U.S. House of Representatives and state legislatures and governorships around the country on a platform of jobs, balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility. It took not so long before conservatives revealed their true intentions. On the federal level there was the sideshow of Rep. Peter King's (R-NY) hearings on radical Islam. People are foreclosed upon, out of money, out of luck and suffering out there, but what do the Republicans decide to go after? NPR and Planned Parenthood, and rape victims who want an abortion. On the state level there is the ban on Sharia law and the war on the unemployed. There are birther bills, bills to eliminate birthright citizenship, and voter ID legislation to deal with the nonexistent issue of voter fraud. Michigan Governor Rick Snyder represents the epitome of overreaching, with new powers to dissolve municipal governments, throw out union contracts, and eliminate school districts.

And in states such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana Pennsylvania and Ohio, talk of shared sacrifice really has meant one-way sacrifice, with cuts to programs for the poor and working people and no demands made on the wealthy. In a perverse fashion, devastating cuts in education and health are paired with equally generous tax breaks to corporations, as if no one is looking and this grave crime being committed has no witnesses. Let's not forget the attack on unions' collective bargaining rights under the guise of deficit reduction. Now, that was diabolically slick of them.

Facts, not fiction.

Nonexistent voter fraud?

You're an imbecile.

Crappy compared to what?
And unlike the public sector, the private sector pays its bills.

When lefties use words like "siezed control" they are voicing their own wishes. The hypocrite SOB's elected Obama on an emotional basis of "hope and change" and what they got was Chicago style crooked politics. Now they admit that democrat policies ruined the economy and we need to trim government spending but somehow the hypocrite SOB's manage in their typical small minded way to blame republicans. It's amazing how hatred seems to blind the left.

I understand to me free means being left to run my own life and to you free means not having to pay your bills.

But what I don't understand is how to you constantly attacking 2% of the population and assuring the 98% that it's OK you're not attacking them is reassuring when to me that's the scariest thing you do. You can't have freedom unless everyone's included. Once you exclude 2%, you will only start to exclude more.
