Good ol' Mitch (turtle) McConnell has been on the senate floor, LYING to the American voters that they just passed (by a 51-49 vote) a tax bill to [supposedly] benefit the middle class.....

This is a blatant LIE....It is a pay off to rich donors who have funded these bribed politicians' election, and NOT a tax cuts for the middle class.......

The most salient point of any decent tax cut would be to stimulate demand for goods and services, which is the ONLY way to hire more people at better wages.......and THAT is only achieved by giving the middle class tax relief........This plan does NOT do that and congress is lying to us, once again.

This is not a partisan issue.......Tell congress to stop lying. This tax plan gives more than 80% of the "relief"to rich donors....Raises the deficit by $1.5 TRILLION, and cuts Medicare and Medicaid.

Of course tax cuts will tend to benefit those that pay the most in taxes. Cutting the tax rate for those that pay no taxes already results in no savings for them.

If the poor could pay taxes then they would get a break also.. Why should the poor always get an EIC, for just playing victims of liberalism? If they work, they get breaks also...

Left Wingers hating rich people is a sign of their immaturity
Go get your own money, stop mooching

Why should someone in the 1% get more in actual dollars than a family of 4 making 80K?

The rich will get the largest tax cut because they pay more. However some parts of it are a sop for the rich. I have no problems with keeping the AMT as long as it is set high enough and indexed to inflation. Also I would support taxing a estate if taxes were never paid when it was earned. Also this pass-through provision is something begging to be abused. That has to be handled very carefully. I would also support raising the EITC.

The hypocrite left has been whining for a week over President Trump's plan to stop the billion dollar subsidies to insurance companies and they whine when other corporations get a tax break. Which is it?

Because, Mr. fuck head, HEALTH COVERAGE is not a commodity.....Idiot !!!

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first four men — the poorest — would pay nothing; the fifth would pay $1, the sixth would pay $3, the seventh $7, the eighth $12, the ninth $18, and the tenth man — the richest — would pay $59.

That’s what they decided to do. The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement — until one day, the owner threw them a curve (in tax language a tax cut).

“Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily meal by $20.” So now dinner for the ten only cost $80.00.

The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the first four men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other six — the paying customers? How could they divvy up the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his “fair share?”

The six men realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would end up being PAID to eat their meal. So the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.

And so the fifth man paid nothing, the sixth pitched in $2, the seventh paid $5, the eighth paid $9, the ninth paid $12, leaving the tenth man with a bill of $52 instead of his earlier $59. Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to eat for free.

But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. “I only got a dollar out of the $20,” declared the sixth man who pointed to the tenth. “But he got $7!”

“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man, “I only saved a dollar, too … It’s unfair that he got seven times more than me!”.

“That’s true!” shouted the seventh man, “why should he get $7 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!”

“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison, “We didn’t get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!”

The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night he didn’t show up for dinner, so the nine sat down and ate without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered, a little late what was very important. They were FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS short of paying the bill! Imagine that!

And that, boys and girls, journalists and college instructors, is how the tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up at the table anymore.

Where would that leave the rest? Unfortunately, most taxing authorities anywhere cannot seem to grasp this rather straightforward logic!

The only thi g it doesn't do is raise taxes on the poor. If they'd been able to get thst added, it would be a perfect bill.

Yes it is. It always has been. Gealth Care is NOT a Right.

It is low-life, fuck heads like you who claim owning an assault weapon is a "right", but having to go to the E.R. for cancer treatment is a "luxury"........IDIOT !!!

Awww. Sticks and Stones, sweetie. Your level of i adults doesn't even make my pecker move, so you're gonna have to try a whole lot harder to actually get a rise out of me.

Nowhere in the world, prior to the end of WWII was healthcare seen as a Right. Not even for the upper class. If you had money you saw a doctor. If not, you died. Sjmple as that. Nothing in the US Constitution changes that.

On the other hand, a group of men who had just watched the citizenry use a largely private arsenal of weapons and equipment to overthrow parental national overlords saw fit to include the RTKBA in their new national found g documents as a RIGHT of the People.

Seems like a major difference to me.
