It's not just Mexicans. The president got 93% of the Black vote, 71% of the Asian vote, 73% of the Latino vote, 62% of the Youth vote, 55% of the Woman vote.

Yep, the politics of division, of 'interest groups', has proven to be highly successful at winning elections and eroding our solidarity as CITIZENS.

As long as people insist on voting for "What's in it for ME?", instead of what's good for the NATION, we'll continue to be divided and our society will continue to decline.

As I said, I voted Republican most of my adult life until I finally figured out that the policies the GOP persue work very good for the rich and not so good for the rest of us.

It was just as much the GOP alienating these "special interests" as it was the Democrats pandering to them.

No one made Rush Limbaugh scream "Slut" at Sandra Fluke.

No one made Romney blurt out that he wanted to get Hispanics to "Self-deport".

No one made Donald Trump engage in his level of craziness.

Most of the damage the GOP has suffered is self-inflicted...

Here is something to consider when considering Hispanics.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 79% of Mexican illegals with children and 71% of all illegals with children receive some form of government assistance.

This is why 70% of them are going to the democrats.

But here's the point that might be lost on you guys.

Your problems isn't just with Hispanics. your problem is with working folks overall. When you have a party that caters entirely to the rich, there's really no reason for working class Hispanics to vote for them.

When you continually drive down the wages and benefits of working folks, bust their unions, ship their jobs overseas, cut their benefits, you make them more dependent on government.

They have no stake in your plans.

If the economy had been better and Obama had been white, this would have been a 49 state blow-out.

He's doing that now.

Here's the dirty little secret about health care. Whether its run by the government or big insurance companies, it's all "Socialist".

This year, I will pay $1200 in medical care, and my company will pay about $4000.00 on my behalf. I will also pay 1% into Medicare and 1% will be matched by my employer.

In short, if I don't run up $1200 in medical care, I'm ALREADY paying for someone else's medical care.

Conversely, if I run up more than $6000.00 in medical expenses, like I did in 2007, someone else is paying for mine.

Except that after I ran up $50,000 in medical expenses in 2007, I was let go in 2008 along with all the other employees who ran up too much in medical expenses. Whooops. Guess I'll take the government program, they can't make me stop being an American!

But it gets worse. Let's say I'm one of those poor slobs who doesn't have medical insurance. Well, then, I get sick, I show up at an emergency room, they treat me for something like 10 times what it would have cost in a GP"s office, and then when I skip on that bill or plead poverty, that's spread out among all the schlubs who COULD pay their hospital bills.

So someone is paying, regardless. All ObamaCare does is clean up some (not all) of the mess.

You know what....I began paying into social security in Dec. 1950. It's the only government program in Washington which month in and month out collects more than it pays out. The Republicans have hated the program since Roosevelt initiated it. They like for all the money to go to the defense budget or end up in the pockets of the rich. They suck large mule dongs.
