Not a moment too soon, not only has the Congressional Budget Office acknowleged that the Stimulus monies prevented an increase of 2% more in the unemployent rate--which the GOP Virtually, Unanimously Opposed, (Though Possiblly Now, Not With Murkowski On Board!)--but even more importantly, the ARRA money has mostly all been spent!

U.S. stimulus gave large jobs boost, CBO says - Business - U.S. business - msnbc.com

The New Tea Party of 40, Plus the 190 or so, doesn't even have an anti-stimulus agenda, coming into office in January. There is only $12.0 bil., left, about as much as ear marks are worth. The Pelosi-Reid Democrats have done their Socialist, pro-growth, pro-jobs, anti-unemployment work already!

The New Tea Party of 40, Plus the 190 or so, will instead be able to take all the credit for raising the taxes of the poor and middle classes: Refusing to renew the Refundable Make Work Pay Tax Credit! That will be their act Day One! That is set to expire at the stroke of New Year's Day!

Raising taxes on poor and middle incomes is what The Tea Party Is Clearly For, and They will go into 2012, with their own records at their backs! The Minority of Lunatics already opposed the tax relief. Now they are the majority!

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Many squaws to Lands of Many Nations, Shiny Trinkets read to prime machines: Before GOP and Tea Party, Native American, Wannabes, take they Shiny Trinkets away with tax hikes!)

A little hint about the CBO they only give their estiments on the information provided by congress. Did you learn anything from the last time they were quoted about obamacare? They had to revise their information because congress held by important information.

$5 million to create a geothermal energy system for the Oak Ridge City Center shopping mall in Oak Ridge, Tenn. From TheHill.com, “The main problem, says Republicans, is the fact the mall has been losing tenants for years and is mostly empty.”

$9.38 million to renovate a century-old train depot in Lancaster County, Pa., that has not been used for three decades

$100,000 for socially conscious puppet shows in Minnesota

$2 million to build a replica railroad tourist attraction in Carson City, Nevada

$462,000 to purchase 22 concrete toilets for use in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri

$3.1 million to transform a canal barge into a floating museum that will travel the Erie Canal in New York

$3.4 million to create an underground turtle tunnel, or eco-passage, in Lake Jackson, Florida. We love turtles and don’t want them to get smashed by traffic. However, when your government spending plan involves jokes like, “Why did the turtle cross the road? To get more stimulus money,” you can pretty much guess there’s a problem.

$1 million to study the health effects of environmentally friendly public housing on 300 people in Chicago. I bet those 300 people would rather split the million and get out of public housing all together.

$983,952 for street beautification in Ann Arbor, Mich., including decorative lighting, trees, benches and bike paths

$1 million for Portland, Ore., to replace 100 aging bike lockers and build a garage that would house 250 bicycles. I think Portland’s bike programs are fantastic. I also think that it is possible to find cheaper ways to store bicycles.

$700,000 to Oregon crab fishermen to help recover lost crab post. You would think for that much money they could just go buy new ones.

$1.5 billion for a Carbon Capturing Contest

And now for my all time favorite...
$300,000 for a GPS-equipped helicopter to hunt for radioactive rabbit droppings at the Hanford nuclear reservation in Washington state

Don't forget about the genitalia ball washing project. That was really important too.

Are there still people out there that actually believe stimulus' work? We spent another trillion and unemployment went higher.

The single biggest component of the stimulus was tax cuts. $300 BILLION.

Given that, and given the anti-Obama right's insistence that the stimulus didn't work,

are those same people now ready to concede, in the face of their own argument,

that tax cuts do not create economic growth, jobs, etc.?

I'm guessing no, they're not.

I never did see any tax cuts in my personal income taxes nor my business income taxes. What are the specific tax cuts that you are mentioning? I know there were tax credits in the bill. Also, these tax cuts, that you are referring to would be a one time deal without any significant affect after this tax year.

Anyone knows that the GOP Tea Party, Lunatic Right, knows a thing or two about "Open Season!" That's when everyone gets a license to kill, anyone at all! NRA knows about "Open Season!" When it comes to alleged illegals, it is "Open Season" first, ask questions later. In fact: When it comes to Hispanics at all, it is "Open Season" first, ask questions later!

Health Plan ads are touting the version that the Democrats have put in place. The DoNut Hole has already been plugged, and it's in the Enrollment Season advertising.

The GOP knows about that Open Season version, too: And plans to take it all away! Everything that started going into effect this year, will be taken away! Everything scheduled to go into effect next year: Will be taken away. Everthing scheduled to go into effect, the year after that: Will be taken away. Everything scheduled to go into effect, the year after that: Will be taken away. Everything scheduled to go into effect, the year after that: Will be taken away!

Anyone guesses just how open, seasons are like to become: Even going forward with GOP Tea Party McConnell making funny faces, at the people, all the time!

tax cuts that you have to add to your year end W2 oh and that tax cut equalled to a one time trip to McDonalds once a week

The stimulus worked..only slowly.

It was half of what it should have been..so it's going to take twice as long.

But it is working in NYC. Unemployment's been going down here..while projects are all over the place.

And a special shout out to Chris Christie for all the surplus money going to the second avenue subway!

Whoo hoo!

If it worked you would think the unemployment numbers would be lower than 9.6 NO WAIT they said the unemployment numbers wasn't going to get higher than 8%. I think 9.6 is a lot higher than 8.0

The Refundable MWP Tax Credit was widely credited with having commenced the turnabout in the job losses, Causef by Boehner, McConnell, Cheney, Bush, and Paulson, and by Bernie Madoff, and the collapsed financial houses, and the Plague of the Ivy League educated people.

Most people lumped them in with the general concept, "Wall Street," and probably Jews and Homosexuals. Enlightenment does that to people(?)!

The Schedule M refundable Tax credit is set to expire in a matter of days! It put immediately payroll tax relief into the market place, and in a regulated manner! True markets are clearly never free, but require a regulated currency, and government regulatory activity, to succeed!

Schedule M is further example!

The Labor Union movement of the post-WWII, dynamic U. S. economy, was actually based in working people. Money spent to aid those unions actually created highways, infrastructure, and the state and local government tax base: For example, in Pat Brown/Alan Cranston's California, That created even more, creating even more!

SEIU is different.

The people who generally caused and supported, the giant downturn in the first place: Got bailed out, and in the absolutely wrong way! Mostly, they should have been put on boats, shipped off to Africa, there to be sold into slavery! They themselves were not the creators, of the global economic , new civilization: Even such as it is, in its present form.

It costs 50% more money to put one of them to work, than it does anybody else in the United States. So when given the choice of creating three jobs to help bring down the unemployment rate, or creating just two: Then guess what the Ivy League, chose to do!

Apparently it even made sense to them, to do that!

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Ivy League claims that landing on the rock, even: Gave them claim to Lands of Many Nations, and the Moon(?)!)

Nope, I didn't like Bush's 150B stimulus either.

Tax incentives for individuals
Total: $237 billion

$116 billion: New payroll tax credit of $400 per worker and $800 per couple in 2009 and 2010. Phaseout begins at $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for joint filers.[29]
$70 billion: Alternative minimum tax: a one year increase in AMT floor to $70,950 for joint filers for 2009.[29]
$15 billion: Expansion of child tax credit: A $1,000 credit to more families (even those that do not make enough money to pay income taxes).
$14 billion: Expanded college credit to provide a $2,500 expanded tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $160,000.
$6.6 billion: Homebuyer credit: $8,000 refundable credit for all homes bought between 1/1/2009 and 12/1/2009 and repayment provision repealed for homes purchased in 2009 and held more than three years. This only applies to first-time homebuyers.[41]
$4.7 billion: Excluding from taxation the first $2,400 a person receives in unemployment compensation benefits in 2009.
$4.7 billion: Expanded earned income tax credit to increase the earned income tax credit — which provides money to low income workers — for families with at least three children.
$4.3 billion: Home energy credit to provide an expanded credit to homeowners who make their homes more energy-efficient in 2009 and 2010. Homeowners could recoup 30 percent of the cost up to $1,500 of numerous projects, such as installing energy-efficient windows, doors, furnaces and air conditioners.
$1.7 billion: for deduction of sales tax from car purchases, not interest payments phased out for incomes above $250,000.
[edit] Tax incentives for companies
Total: $51 billion

$15 billion: Allowing companies to use current losses to offset profits made in the previous five years, instead of two, making them eligible for tax refunds.
$13 billion: to extend tax credits for renewable energy production (until 2014).
$11 billion: Government contractors: Repeal a law that takes effect in 2012, requiring government agencies to withhold three percent of payments to contractors to help ensure they pay their tax bills. Repealing the law would cost $11 billion over 10 years, in part because the government could not earn interest by holding the money throughout the year.
$7 billion: Repeal bank credit: Repeal a Treasury provision that allowed firms that buy money-losing banks to use more of the losses as tax credits to offset the profits of the merged banks for tax purposes. The change would increase taxes on the merged banks by $7 billion over 10 years.
$5 billion: Bonus depreciation which extends a provision allowing businesses buying equipment such as computers to speed up its depreciation through 2009.

Are there still people out there that actually believe stimulus' work? We spent another trillion and unemployment went higher.

Is GM a success?
Were veterans helped to take their families off welfare?
Was the infrastructure improved to speed up corporate growth?
Will more energy plants be built to prevent brown-outs and lost wages?
Will more students be helped to attend colleges?
Has Wall Street rebounded?
Have banks been saved & able to make business loans?
Will workers have better health care?

Forget about unemployment numbers controlled by corporations who hire & fire. They have a trillion in capital and refuse to spend it.

And by tax cuts he means deficit building tax credits... Same thing, if you're a fucking moron.
