The democrat congress was put into office to get us out of the war, that was the single most important issue when the elections were going on. In the presidential elections Obama was put into office again by promising to get the US out of Iraq, pull out near instantly at some points was what “they” (Clinton/Edwards/Obama) talked about.

Health care and other issues were even discussed as possibly having to be put on the back burner due to costs, I remember watching that debate even. Most Americans are against Obama care, they were against it before it passed overwhelmingly and now the numbers of people against it have grown more... Do you really want to argue that “most Americans” wanted Obamacare at any point?
