GOP Brand is so bad around Seattle

I don't recall Romney making any visits to the Seattle area.

GOP in Wash seems to prefer that quack Ron Paul.

Nixon had John Ehrlichman to help him out in Seattle.

Hard to imagine Wash St had a multi-term GOP governor - Dan Evans.

And that Nixon and Reagan both won Washington.

Inslee - D - will win easily in the 2012 Wash gov s race - has movie star looks for one thing

Someone is outing Seattle as being San Francisco North.

yaeh i think seattle and the whole state of oregon.

Huge difference in Washington and Oregon as far as politics. The west side of the mountains are a bunch of liberal hypocrites.

On the east side of the mountains...normal Americans.

Well, in Oregon, on the West side, forward looking Americans that have the Silicon Forest, and a growing manufacturing economy. East side, some very good folks who are seriously misled as to the cause of their seriously detiorating economic conditions. However, a forwar looking area, Prineville, is gaining in this economy. If the rest of the East side would get over their 'Conservative' mindset, they would be very capable of sharing in an expanding economy.

Seattle used to have good beers like Olympia and Rainiers - just vanished..............
Rainer sucks.

Rainier had the better ads -Olympia had the better beer..................................

The Rainier Deers? That was stupid! Did the tour at the Olympia brewery a few times. I lived near there when my Gramps and Grandma were getting old and needed help doing things back in the 80's. A cold Olympia went down pretty good on a hot day.

Ah Seattle, a place I called home for most of my adult life. The last Republican governor left in 1985. The west side of the mountains was bombarded by liberal Californians who took over the city of Seattle and the rest of western Washington and pretty much ruined the state. While Seattle "liberals" vote democrat, I bet 70% of the city would vote for the Socialist Workers or Green parties if they knew they could win. Right leaning folks are not welcome there.

That's why I'm in AZ now.

Oregon as a whole suffers low paying jobs and higher than the nation in unemployment. Very few good paying jobs. We had to move to get living wages.

"Forward Thinking People"? Most of the so-called "Forward Thinking People" haven't had an original idea or thought in their entire lives. They try to reinvent socialism and other failed ideas only to fail like the last regime that tried it. You're not "Forward Thinking People", all you're doing is rehashing a failed system thinking "This time, it'll work out". That is the definition of insanity, repeating the same mistakes expecting different results. So you're proper title should be "Ass Backwards Insane People". So impressed with yourself and how intelligent you are, you refuse to use common sense. You think you're smart enough to defeat fate. That YOU and your merry little band of pencil pushing eggheads with ZIP experience in the real world are somehow more SPECIAL, the exception to the rule... No doubt that you "Forward Thinking People" are intelligent, but you're intelligent morons.

Commercial construction is having huge struggles in Seattle since 2009.

That is TOTAL BULLSHIT!

Everywhere you look there are cranes. Probably a coule of hundred right now. AND they are digging a huge tunnel to replace the Viaduct. Road construction everywhere ya go. You REALLY don't know what you are talking about.

I have a nephew that is a union electrician that has been on and off unemployment for two years.

I have a cousin in the drywall business and is have trouble securing bids, and the bids are few and far between.

You are a total bullshiter.

There are thousands of jobs to bid on. I would love to prove what an idiot you are but there is no way to show you what I see when I drive down I-5 or hywy 99.

There are only so many ways to say you don't know (other than your idiot cousins reports) what you are talking about.

Let's just leave it at I live here and you don't.

Okay, got that Dixie link?

Let my nephew know that he shouldn't be on the extra board all the time because there are thousands of jobs.

You don't know how to Google? What is your question? That she wasn't the first openly gay lesbian Governor? I could be wrong about that.. can you prove she wasn't? She was openly lesbian. It sure wasn't a secret here in Washington.

I googled and nothing seems to state that she was a lesbian or open about it.

That's why I asked.

Did you know why union electricians sit on the extra boards if there is so much work there?

that is a crying shame.....you used to be able to drive the viaduct with great city and sound views.....but i guess the Seattle politburo and their investors managed to grab the real estate....so commuters will have to go underground....
