GOP and trump considering Medicare cuts in his second term

NOT having health insurance is NOT the same as not having health care.

Yea there's always the emergency room as your healthcare provider right? Jesus you're fucked up

Destroying the health insurance of tens of millions is not justified to provide health insurance to hundreds of thousands.

Which of course did NOT happen

Troll Lesh,
FYI
The best estimate of people with non-group policies canceled for 2014 due to the requirements of the Affordable Care Act is

2.6 million

according to a study by the Urban Institute. This value is recommended by factcheck.org as correct.

This represents 18.6% of all people with such policies.

Factcheck.org further corresponded with the author and reports statistical analysis that the 95% confidence interval of the data is:

2.3 million to 3.3 million

How many people have lost their health insurance as a result of the ACA (Obamacare)?

Considering nothing. This is been their evil plan all along.

horseshit, post something to back that up or STFU and go away.

Mitch McConnell says deficit ballooned because of Social Security, Medicare, not Republican Tax Cuts

the debt continues to grow because ALL of the clowns in DC spend more than we pay in taxes. Its not partisan, its greed and trying to buy votes. No one in congress wants to cut medicare, because they know it would cost them votes. Don't be so fricken stupid.

BTW, do you know the difference between deficit and debt? From your posts I seriously doubt it.
And Republican tax cuts for the rich and corporations (1.5 trillion ...twice the size of the Stimulus)

Virtually all of those who “lost” their insurance ended up with insurance the ACA and many for less money with better benefits

not even close to true. those who lost their policies are now paying much higher premiums and have higher deductibles plus less coverage. Obozocare did not help anyone. Stop the lies

It did help those with pre-existing conditions. That isn't a high percentage of people but it did help them.

Insurance premiums have gone up at LOWER rates since the ACA was instituted.

And would be lower still had not Republicans screwed with it by removing the mandate and other measures

Not true (the rate of increase) and Obama said we would save $2500.

It increased the number of your wellness visits, and you can keep a kid on your insurance to age 26. It also insured millions under medicare and states expansion.

It was not perfect. Certainly not the approach I'd have wanted. It didn't control costs, and can be seen as just an incremental step towards some form of national healthcare, where costs are controlled by literally socialializng how much providers can charge. Although, if you have enough money, you'll always be able to buy "extra."

And the gop and Trump repealed the taxes that paid for much of it, but never found any alternative.

Depending on which company you applied for an individual plan before obamacare some either excluded pre x from coverage or denied all together to the tune of 40% of all applications received by certain companies. So how many didn't it help? But some of those people will be priced out if they haven't already.

Now health care costs are never going down and ACA premium's in certain states and certain counties will continue to rise making it unaffordable to many. If the mandate had stayed the increases would have been slowing down or even going down. As I stated earlier certain blocks of business did go down 2% last year and year before. Most insurance companies still in the game are making money.

Well since you don't understand how contracts are negotiated with the medical professionals there is just now sense in continuing this conversation. Oh, but I agree retail rates will never go down.

By "retail rates" are you talking about medical services paid for by the patient or the overall cost health care which gets more and more sophisticated (expensive) every day?[/QUOTE

Overall cost of a procedure not what is paid by patient.

B.S. it's a lot cheaper in other countries. There is no reason we can not do the same here.

I'm not impressed with "what you say".

Then move to another country then your problem is solved.

Being able to keep your kids on the policy until 26 is well worth keeping....unless you aren't pro life

"There's no individual $10,000"

While true it is also disingenuous.
Hey dumbass...it's either true or it's not. It's true

LOL, no it's not and she knows why.
Document your bullshit then

Google it kid. Your ignorance is not my problem.
Surrender accepted

I never surrender, as I said your ignorance is not my problem

Said debbiedowner: "Overall cost of a procedure not what is paid by [the] patient".

What is your point?

Why should I not work to get that here instead?

Actually, it isn't cheaper.

We DESPERATELY NEED ENTITLEMENT CUTS across the board. From the welfare queen with 5 kids to business entitlements. You can start with Oil subsidies and the NFL.
Then we need to cut 80% or more of our foreign aid.

Reform/Fix entitlements, Medicare & Social Security, currently projected to be insolvent:

1. Social Security will be unable to meet obligations (not technically "bankrupt") in 2034, paying only 79% of owed benefits, while it will be actually bankrupt around 2090.

And what about all the other things I listed? If we're gonna be serious about our debt they must also be delt with. Half assed measures are pointless.
