GOP and Christian Conservatives to revise the Bible!

Your god had later books written in the common Greek. Ergo, your god wants the texts written in the language of the masses.

Actually, it was the Greeks that translated the Torah into Greek to distribute it to the masses.

They were trying to do the same things that the Hebrews were doing, as the Hebrews had a better standard of living because of their mitzvoht (cleanliness, certain foods were forbidden, ritual bathing daily, etc. etc. etc.), and the Greeks were seeing how they could adapt it to their own needs, because Israel was a foreign place to them, and they had to relocate because of volcanic activity in Greece.

So..........no............God didn't translate it into Greek. Incidentally, it was the Romans that translated it into Latin, as they had commissioned the rabbis to make 70 Torah scrolls for them.

Now.......when books were copied, different scribes would sometimes insert their own words, which would make it different from the same book that another scribe copied, ever so slightly. When Rome saw that every Torah scroll was exactly the same? They figured there was something different about it, and they wanted to see how they could adapt it to the pagans back in Rome.

Incidentally, that is why Easter coincides with the Spring Solstice, as well as the Easter Bunny (fertility symbol), and eggs (rebirth), and the sunrise service (greeting the Spring in a pagan ritual), and also why Yeshua's birth is celebrated on the Winter Solstice, rather than when He was REALLY born.......sometime in October. Some have said that Yeshua was actually born on October 31st.

Then, when you get around the New Testament? Ever hear of the Niecene Council? How about Niecene Council part 2? In both of those they HEAVILY edited the rituals, as well as the Bible. Around 3/4 of the book of Daniel, incidentally, is missing from the KJV.

Now, with all the mistranslations, close translations, and messed up ideas that people have gotten from the Bible over the years, with many re-writing it (even though God said to not change one jot or tittle, which is the markings around the Hebrew letters), does anyone think that yet another translation of the Bible is needed or even wanted?

Is ABS claiming that the NT was not written in the common Greek?

Yo.........Sitting Carcass, wasn't talking about the NT ya dumb fuck, I was talking about the Torah.

Try again. This time with knowledge and understanding. Helps if your reading comprehension is above a 3rd grade level.

So you're just being dishonest?

Got it.

As I said, your god had later books written in the common greek so the common man could understand them

Try again. This time with knowledge and understanding. ;)
