Hope that little fish in Cali is one of them.

They removed the irrigation system for thousands of acres of farmland because of that little fish. They put farms out of business.

Funny you bring this up. We have a small trestle nearby, a tiny bridge about 30 feet long the crosses over a creek about 10 feet high. People have wondered why there's been no work on it for a long time. It's at the beginning of an important road and has been closed for months. Many businesses line this road and in order to get to the road now, the only way in is to go miles out of your way using residential side streets with stops signs everywhere and a 15 mph speed limit heavily policed up and down hills and windy roads.

So why is the road closed construction sitting stagnant for months? They found a small number of mussels, tiny fresh water mussels apparently in the water that are considered an "endangered species" and have to relocate them.

Does seem a positive step, too many crazy decisions based on these laws. There was some stupid turtle at 29 Palms that caused the Corps to make some major changes to CAX so we would not “hurt” its habitat.
