Good news on Chinese activist!

China has slapped the US upside the head and put us in our interfering place. The Chinese were gracious enough to allow the state department to create a plausible concocted story so that the numiliation wasn't too bad.

Chinese are playing games. Let's see what happens. Interesting to note, one cannot travel outside of China without official permission.

Chen isn't leaving China and neither is his family. The state department will issue a statement saying that Chen turned down an offer to leave and it was entirely his own decison.

Will you go away, if he does come here?

"Nevertheless, senior officials from the two countries -- including Clinton and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner -- met Thursday and Friday in Beijing for scheduled talks about strategic and economic issues."

In public remarks at the meeting Friday, Clinton reiterated comments she had made the previous day about human rights without mentioning Chen."

What Geithner and the gang really meant: Hey fellows, our lips are sealed....wink, nod. We just want to borrow some more money.

It's a done deal. Do try to keep up.

However, the administration has received support from some human rights groups, such as Amnesty International, which believe that it was worthwhile trying to find a way for Mr Chen to remain in China, given the long experience of dissidents who have quickly become irrelevant in China after moving to the US.

Mr Cohen said that the idea was to achieve the sort of status for Mr Chen that Ai Weiwei, the dissident artist, now faces. Released from prison last June after nearly three months in solitary confinement, Mr Ai is under some restrictions but still has the ability to have his views heard. “It is something between prison and freedom,” said Mr Cohen. “If he comes here [to the US], he will disappear.”

Obama under fire over collapse of Chen deal - FT.com

There will be a nice face-saving press release to cover up the bruises China left on Hillary's chin.

Did the American Embassy tell Chen that if he did not leave the embassy grounds his wife would be beaten to death? Yes. Did China threaten to beat Chen's wfe to death? No. Did China NEED to threaten to beat Chen's wife to death? No. All they needed was to have the Americans lie to Chen and get him to leave the Embassy so he would no longer be under American "protection".

Americans do NOT want someone like Chen here especially in a university. Chen is a very vocal pro life advocate. America has no place for men like Chen. He's the enemy of liberals. It would be superlative to have someone like Chen and his family discuss taxpayer funded abortion and free birth control, but this liberal government wont' have any of ir.

Like Hillary really would bite the master's hand! China speaks, we obey.
