Good news. It turns out torture is completely legal in Florida.

Guards at the Miami Dade jail locked an inmate in the shower for two hours under scalding hot water and he died. If parents had done this to a child they would have been charged with cruelty to the child st s minimum. If someone had done it to an animal it would have been animal cruelty. But since it was only done to a man, a criminal, then no crime has been committed.

An inmate died after being locked in a scalding shower for two hours. His guards won’t be charged.

I don't know what color the guards were. The prisoner was black and it happened two years ago. By delaying the investigation for two full years they manage to keep the community from getting outraged. There are probably a hundred other injustices that have happened in Miami alone so one more isn't a big deal. It gets lost in the smoke of smoldering fury.

Later another incident will set the community off and the law and order types will be screaming Mike Brown again.
