He already did that once and the result was a PERJURY charge against Libby. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Read my last post again. It would be nice if Bush would instruct his people to speak under oath. Outside of that, he could, at the very least, tell his people to answer questions relevant to the firings. He could tell them to not duck behind “executive privilege”. Yet J. Scott Jennings testified on August 2, 2007 before the Judiciary Committee, invoking executive privilege and refusing to answer most questions – even though he was not under oath.

Be fortright and and asnwer the freaking questions relevant to the issue!

How can it be simpler? If people are to speak while under oath then they should tell the truth. Yet, if they do not know the answer, they should say, “I don’t know”. If they lie, then they should face perjury. It is as simple as that.
