This is a capitalism-mosaic alluding to the incendiary story of the watershed (pseudo-apocalyptic) engagement between the impressive Biblical kingdoms of Gog and Magog.

What is considered unbiased 'capitalism folklore' in this new age of media/consumerism?

What upsets anti-Western terrorists (e.g., ISIS) regarding pro-capitalism discourse? In other words, what really irritates them and hence gives concern to today's 'free-speech' bloggers (such as myself)?

This mosaic was inspired by Wag the Dog and Argo.

Signing off,

GOD BLESS!

The 'New World' was all about computers, fast-food, the free-market, the fall of Communism, and the rise of Wall Street profiteers and pirates. MTV was the new 'fad,' and it was soon complemented by Facebook(!). Politicians considered themselves 'vendors,' and priests considered themselves 'apologetics doctors.' Pornography, racism, democracy, commerce, and 'TrumpUSA' became the key-words for modern intrigue. TIME magazine talked less about political controversies and more about the human will to exceed the bounds of governance with free-enterprise. Businessmen were considered tailors. It's no wonder the Gulf War was all about petroleum.

In this media-madness rose a prince of entertainment, a seemingly-indomitable NFL quarterback named Tom Brady who won a whopping 5 Super Bowl trophies in the new millennium, stamping his mighty team (the New England Patriots) as the new powerhouse. Brady was a 'diplomat' of both entertainment and marketing (and hence capitalism). Brady's popularity reflected the sports-industry creativity and marketing bravado presented in 'new age culture-couture' films such as Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise). Brady was the Biblical kingdom of Gog.

Whenever you have a media-superstar or entertainment industry 'stand-out,' you get lots and lots and lots of competitors. No doubt, Brady had to deal with the upstart NY Giants led by young QB Eli Manning. Brady then had to deal with the super-organized underdog team the Philadelphia Eagles led by relatively young QB Nick Foles. People realized that the entertainment industry presented 'Golems' of the American Dream, so everyone (sports-writers, fans, society-critics) started thinking about success on the field in terms of strategic games designed to highlight the basic allure of the American Dream itself.

The U.S. government wanted to stay ahead of the game, so the NSA organized a special cyber-security division, while entertainment figures (some celebrities) were picked as covert political 'operatives' known as 'G.I. Joes' to use the media platform (and films, etc.) to market progressive ideas regarding the global appeal of capitalism. Relevant symbolic films made by these operatives included Rogue Trader, The Founder, The Contender, WarGames, Edge of Tomorrow, The Post, and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. The G.I. Joes contended with the generic 'sea of terrorists' collectively referred to by U.S. intelligence as 'Cobra.' One G.I. Joe operative wondered seriously if there was scope for a Joe-Cobra peace-alliance in this new commerce and traffic-based geopolitical 'mega-mind.'

Of course, there was great coordination and mobilization on the home-front, as American TV networks such as QVC, the Food Network, Bloomberg TV, Turner Classic Movies, and the Military Channel continued to provide mass audiences with the psychologically-comforting features of consumerism, democracy, and free-enterprise. It felt like you could read the newspaper simply by turning on your TV! Even kids started carrying smartphones, and two major films were made about the Apple Computers pioneer Steve Jobs. America looked like a candy-factory reminiscent of the Industrial Revolution.

When you have mass consumerism and commerce, you have to deal with anti-social rage (i.e., terrorism). When the World Trade Center came crashing down on 9/11, the world woke up to the reality that Tom Brady (or no single 'captain of commerce/media') could save the world. After 9/11, Americans and others were much more wary about how great public events were now spiritually destabilized by the forces of anti-civilization terrorism (e.g., ISIS). On Black Friday 2017 (the traditional 'shopping-day' in America following Thanksgiving), 300 Sufi Muslims were killed in an Egyptian mosque by ISIS as a statement against Western 'apathy.'

If Tom Brady was not the invincible Superman, perhaps he was at least the vigilant Batman(!). Since Batman can not do everything on his own (though he might be able to steer the people towards social teamwork!), there has to be other 'heroes' and fantastic-characters. One might imagine therefore that a great but not Super Bowl winning from yesteryear such as the Cleveland Browns' gritty and iconic QB Bernie Kosar could be referenced/honoured as a 'complementary media-figure' (or even hero), perhaps referred to as the Flash! With Batman (Brady) and the Flash (Kosar) at the helm of this new age 'commerce vessel,' it looked like a Biblical 'World War Z,' and indeed, society-critics started suggesting that if Tom Brady as Gog, then Bernie Kosar (the working-man's hero!) was the rival Magog(!).

"Who cares about Burger King, eBay, Heinz ketchup, and Grey Poupon mustard?" one might ask! However, Batman (DC Comics) storyboards which presented the urban vigilante as a criminal-insanity tackling 'defender of democracy,' created a 'modernism villain' by the named of Condiment King (CK). CK was a pure madman who wreaked havoc in shopping-malls and office-buildings by disturbing the peace. CK would bust in and spray random people with his tank-filled ketchup-and-mustard guns. When Batman asked CK what is intention was, CK coolly replied, "To unnerve your sensibilities about food-trucks!" Yes, CK was the real modern Satan, and all social pundits understood the 'human value' of consumerism (e.g., McDonald's).

Would the world see Gog (Tom Brady) soar away on a golden-glider signifying a modern fascination with capitalism and media? Brady was a real gem, and people made jokes like, "Who's part of the 'real' Brady Bunch?" One sports-writer asked him if he wanted to write a memoir or book of his life and incredible memories, and Brady (aka, 'Batman') replied coolly, "If America needs a vanity-mirror to understand the borders of energized commerce/traffic/media, then I could surely see the value/wisdom of creating a little 'opus' on the magnificent modern podium of television-gauged idol-worship!" Was America the new Egypt?

Fortunately, when the super underdog Philadelphia Eagles led by upstart-QB Nick Foles shocked the world by defeating Brady's 'Metal Machine' Patriots in Super Bowl 52, more and more Americans started thinking about the miraculous 'variegation' of commerce and consumerism-intrigue in modern media. After all, the great Unitas-Namath 'story' was now replaced by Brady-Foles 'fanzines.' It was that crazy and ironically that provocative. Brady could not 'win' it all as Gog, and perhaps then even the likes of a working-man's hero such as Kosar could not 'win' it all as Magog. The Philadelphia Eagles became the new Green Bay Packers (in the eyes of sports-fans craving 'media-altering gods'), however!

To bring sanity to all this modern capitalism madness, prolific Hollywood (USA) actor Ben Affleck began making symbolic modernism traffic-politics and civics-consciousness themed films such as Argo, The Accountant, The Town, and Justice League. Movie superstar Tom Cruise (whom many suggested was the secret G.I. Joe operative known as 'Duke') said, "Affleck has given the new media landscape a sort of 'intrigue-compass,' so maybe all this cultural revolution will not turn out to be juvenile anarchy (e.g., 9/11)." What would be the final outcome of all this media energy? This was the concern of the new age Hollywood film-maker. After all, commercial politics makes for great fodder for the United Nations!

Gog and Magog?

Please enlighten me more specifically. Revelation speaks of the 200,000,000 horsemen (cavalry) of the Apocalypse that will be mustered to fight the battle of Armageddon.

Gog Magog were the Scythians. They invaded like locusts 500 years before Christ.. in 513 BC.. They were skilled with bow and arrow.. and rode horses. Some stayed behind and founded Scythiopolis.
