Normally I consider California to be the ultimate shit-hole state in the union (yes, including New Jersey). But I've never rooted harder for them than I am with their state-sponsored single-payer system.

For starters, this is how the U.S. Constitution intended the United States to function. As 50 individual states with the flexibility and autonomy to operate as they desire - at the will of the people of each state. It took the great Donald Trump to scare progressives into respecting the U.S. Constitution.

Second, if they are able to get this passed and implemented, it will be one of the greatest social experiments of all time. If it succeeds (and educated, informed people already know that it won't), it becomes the perfect blueprint for healthcare. If it fails (which educated, informed people already know is certain), it stands as indisputable proof of the failures of the left-wing ideology.

If you are a progressive, you probably support this already. If you're a conservative - do everything in your power to support this. It is the ultimate win-win for conservatives and the United States.

And the result of said failure? Well, the result will be more costly medical care in the rest of the country because the republicans will keep sendinmoney for the fuck heads in California to piss away. Don't see how that is a win.

Even if that's true...it permanently ends the argument. Sure the left will still try. But rational people will accept the indisputable evidence that socialism always ends in failure and collapse.

I lived there for 39 years until June 2016. Made my living, raised my family, and had a great career. I used that shit hole and got mine. Retired one day, and left it the next. Took my pension and 401k with me. Jerry Brown wanted to establish laws that said if you earn your pension here, and establish a 401K then move out of state, we will tax you in the new state. LMAO........ I left before he can pull that shit

Love being back home in TN. No state income tax and quality of life improved

Education leaders in recent years have lauded achievement gains and progress of California’s K-12 students, but an annual national report card has rated the Golden State below mediocre — a solid C-minus, 10th from the bottom among the 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Nearly across the board in multiple categories graded by the magazine Education Week, California scored below the national average. California earned 69.9 out of 100 points. As a whole, the nation received a C. Massachusetts ranked at the top, followed by New Jersey, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maryland and Connecticut; all earned a B.

The state ranked 41st in conditions that help children succeed, 39th in school finance, and 30th in achievement.
