GM bars presidential candidates from plants | Fox News

The Detroit Free Press reports that GM is banning presidential candidates from visiting its plants at least until Election Day passes.

"We would like to put all of our energy behind selling our cars and trucks," GM Vice President Bob Ferguson told the Free Press.

Mitt Romney, for his part, has been critical of the nearly $50 billion auto bailout. The Treasury Department still owns roughly a third of the stock. And while GM has emerged from bankruptcy proceedings, the company's stock value has dropped 36 percent since its opening.

Interesting. It's like an Oprah moment where all of a sudden she decided to "ban" candidates from her show after throwing her hat in the ring for Obama.

This is good. It's gotta disrupt the workday to have political yahoos running all over.

GM doesn't want any press. It may come out how much they yet owe the taxpayers and won't be paying back any decade soon. Nah, they'll pass.

Obama has already been to GM, so they now claim they are not allowing both candidates. It is a poor attempt at appearing fair.

They failed. Government Motors will never get another dime from Me.

They can shoot the commercial at a USA GM dealership closed by Obama

CF We did Saturn. It was like a goal for them to try to kill this success known as Saturn. They hated it. It was crazy. Now granted my husband was the PPG rep who made the water borne paint but truly from the get go it was like everyone wanted to kill this awesome little car and everyone associated with it.

GM was determined to kill the car and the program. Crazy. Just crazy.

GM will probably go bankrupt again before long, their business model is unsustainable
