It appears, from the links you have provided, that Obama's decision to step back from his initial emphasis on climate change was a political one and a result of the condition of the economy, not from any of the paranoid fantasies you've brought up here.

It is self evident from the video below that both the Arctic and Antarctic are collapsing. The arctic much much faster than the Antarctic. Republicans love to say that well...the Antarctic is growing in ice, no it is not. And several ice shelves have disappeared resulting in as much as 8x increase in speed of glaciers.

Furthermore, all the world's glaciers outside those latitudes are melting, and they will contribute a 3 foot sea level increase.

So the conclusion, in the face of unprecedented Arctic and Antarctic collapse must be that the Republicans are lying.

Nobody can be THIS stupid as to deny that the Earth's climate system is warming and the ice is the first to be impacted.
