Global Warming is a HOAX!

Well this person should never be taken seriously again. This thread proves you are a fool. By the way, in the last 9 years have you changed your position on global warming? Because Trump has. Republicans have.

President Donald Trump no longer believes that climate change is a hoax. In an interview with the CBS program 60 Minutes on Sunday, he told Lesley Stahl that heā€™s ā€œnot denying climate changeā€ and that ā€œsomethingā€™s happening.ā€

Has the president finally accepted what scientists have been saying for decades? Nah. Although Trump backed off on his earlier, evidence-free claim that climate change is a Chinese invention, he made what a New York Times fact-check described as ā€œseveral new assertions unsupported by science,ā€ claiming that:

global warming could reverse itself and
casting doubt on whether it is driven by human activity. In other words, his position on climate change is shifting in lockstep with virtually every other prominent climate denier: from ā€œitā€™s not realā€ to ā€œitā€™s a natural cycle.ā€ Although Trump is still playing catchup with more-evolved deniers who have already admitted that climate change is human-caused but say the problem is too expensive to fix, his references to ā€œtrillions and trillions of dollarsā€ and ā€œmillions and millions of jobsā€ suggest he is headed in that direction.

Itā€™s hard to say which of the presidentā€™s misconceptions is the most wrongheaded. Yes, the planet does oscillate between warm periods and ice ages. But since about 10,000 years ago, the Earth has been in an overall cooling cycle, and this cooling would continue for thousands of years if not for human influences.

The national report by Trumpā€™s own administration ā€œconcluded that humans caused at least 93 percent of the warming that scientists measured from 1951 to 2010,ā€ according to an Associated Press report.

Then thereā€™s the idea that it would be cheaper to do nothing than to take climate action. Economists have shot down that argument repeatedly, saying that the sooner global greenhouse gas emissions are reduced, the lower the cost of dealing with climate impacts. And climate change may cost the United States more than almost any other country.

My personal favorite: Climate change is a concept cooked up by money-grubbing scientists who, as Trump put it in the CBS interview, ā€œhave a very big political agenda.ā€ I love how climate deniers seem to believe that scientific research grants are so much more lucrative than the record-setting profits made by the big oil and gas companies that contribute generously to Republican campaigns.

Us intelligent folks deny the MAN MADE global warming bullshit from the lefty deranged charlatans of the world.

Global temps are cyclical. They rise, they fall. The best example IMO the various ice ages our planetā€™s been through over the eons.

The scientists all concluded the global warming we are experiencing is man made and that anyone who says what you just says is simply ignorant. Either being misled or purposely willfully ignorant. Like Marco Rubio is lying. He knows GW is real. He doesn't dare proclaim GW is a hoax. Even Trump who got elected saying it was a hoax, won't go that far now because he knows that's just not true.

This is what happens when a society stops believing the scientists and teachers and instead trusts the Republican politicians and corporate lobbyists who pay them to lie to us.

Your opinion of my opinion duly noted, bobo.

Without any evidence? No evidence to back up my stupidity? So the ice ages example of our globe repeatedly dramatically warming/cooling over eons never happened?

Thanks for playing and exposing yourself. Most of us had you figured out already but Iā€™m sure youā€™ve garnered some new converts this go-round.

You're just being obtuse.

The 10 indicators are..Evidence for global warming

Science isnā€™t like a house of cards, in that removing one line of evidence (eg. land surface air temperature) wouldnā€™t cause the whole edifice of anthropogenic global warming to collapse. Rather, ā€œland surface warmingā€ is one of more than ten bricks supporting ā€œglobal warmingā€; and with global warming established, there is a whole other set of bricks supporting ā€œanthropogenic global warmingā€. To undermine these conclusions, youā€™d need to remove most or all of the bricks supporting them ā€“ but as the evidence continues to pile up, that is becoming less and less likely.
