Glenn Beck is correct...again

Glenn Beck is right about the fact that the progressive movement of the 20th century has infected both sides of the political spectrum. Its the reason why RINO republicans and blue dog democrats. RINOs instantly agree with anything that the far left says while blue dogs instantly agree with most of what republicans say. Its like the progressive in both parties instantly agree with each other while the non-progressives in both parties see eye to eye on most issues.

The question is: Does left and right or democrat or republican matter that much anymore?

Yes it matters. I was becoming as jaded as a lot of us and ready to write them all off too, but another darling of the Left, Rush Limbaugh, (cough) gave a monologue a couple of weeks or so ago that made me back up and rethink that.

He agrees the GOP lost its way, became fiscally irresponsible, bought into the populist hype and adopted some unwise progressive policies, etc., but he is not willing to say that there is no difference beween the GOP and the Democrats. At first I was ready to debate that, but after giving it some thought, I have to agree with him.

The GOP has not surrounded itself with radical leftwing Marxist socialists or those who favor a one-world government and who are obviously driving the current agenda from the White House.

The GOP is not defending multi-trillion dollar deficits or advocating trying to spend ourselves into prosperity.

The GOP is not defending socialization of the healthcare system or our energy industry or pushing handing out more and more goodies to this group or that group in hopes of retaining their support.

The GOP is pushing back against anti-business policies and regulation knowing that these will be far more destructive than any positive things they might accomplish.

The GOP is not buying into every leftwing social engineering project that comes down the pike.

Has the GOP been irresponsible? Yes, in some ways they have. Has it been hypocritical? Yes, in some way it has. Has it lost its center of integrity. There for awhile it did.

But at this time, to say that there is no difference between the two parties just doesn't hold up even in casual scrutiny.

Because you dont listen to most people

I would look in the morror for the one that doesn't listen.
I do listen carefully and thoughtfully to everyone I meet.
Customer service is big in my line. After awhile it becomes a habit, and everyone gets treated like a customer.
You have to admit I even talk and listen to you on this board truth, why else would I be on your friends list?

Then why do you insist on refusing the fact that the country VOTED for Obama and the change he proposed?

Yeap , they killed the public option and watered the damn thing down until its nearly worthless.

The people WANTED change and the dems in congress are chickening out because they are bought by the big corps.

Keep thinking that. And keep ignoring the polls that show people want to limit the Federal government.

Then why do you insist on refusing the fact that the country VOTED for Obama and the change he proposed?

You seem to think that people voted for Obama because they liked his ideas rather than the fact that they were tired of George Bush.

Seems you forgot something....

His mantra was "Change the way things are done in Washington"

Why is it that everyone forgot that?

Now he is saying that people voted for "changing America".....

but I may be wrong, but if he campaigned saying "Change America but Washington will remain the same", Hillary would be President right now.

They voted for Obama becuase they hated the way things are done in washington.
Remember his slogan "Change the way things are done in Washington"
"no more lobbyists"
"transparency"

THAT was what got him on the road to victory....not the idea of changing America.

that too

That is not what they are angry at.

they are angry that NONE of them are getting what the people wnat done.

You forget 65% of US voters wanted the public option.

According to what POLL? You are Wrong. People don't like being TOLD they HAVE TO do anything when it comes to their purse strings or be thrown in jail...and FINED.

It's an affront to Liberty (Which Conservatives are all about)...or don't you value Liberty?

They are ANGRY at Obama and the Democrats that have been taken over BY progressives...or didn't the last three elections in Massechussetts, Virginia, and New Jersey tell you anything? ALL States run by Progressive Democrats.

If I were you? I'd reassess yourself. Conservatism is in resurgence. Beck is correct. The people see the danger. You guys have held it long enough. The RINOS in the Republican Party are in danger too.

Conservatives will boot their collective asses out too and retake the Party. Count on it.

A poll that was taken 3 months in?
Are you serious?

Wow...are you feeling alright? I didn't know you even HAD a sense of humor?

Actually, I am considered a fun guy....love to laugh...love to have fun....youi should see me at the craps tables...I am the entertainment for all that are playing.

You have me pegged wrong

I am not old...unless you call 51 old...and I am not overly tired. Just a screen name.

I am 41...almost 42...so I still get to call you old. Fair?

I haven't hit 30 yet, so I get to call you both old.

Glenn Beck was correct a first time?

Please give me an example when he was wrong. The White House gave us one.

When Beck called Van Jones an admitted Marxist green czar, the white house called him a liar becuase they never called him the green czar.

Of course, they had no way to refute the admitted marxist part.

So go ahead....give me an example where he lied....and not some psoting on an MSNBC blog.

Beck: "Women are psychos"

Quick Fact: Beck falsely attributes entire 2009 debt to Obama

Beck baselessly suggests "White House or Congress" plotted to "bury" pre-scheduled Salahi testimony on "busy news day"

sooooo much to choose from......

Changing the way congress works would not include presenting the minority party in congress with a bill they could not possibly work with based on their party ideals, and then when they didn't accept any of it, claim they "would not comprimise", or are the "party of no".
That is far from bipartisanship, and is at the opposite end of the spectrum from compromise.
If the democrats in congress had truely attempted to comprimise, they would have accomplished something. At present they have comprimised nothing except further dividing the american people, even to the point that there are now citizen's militias on standby everywhere, not just where I live, where it is the norm, but EVERYWHERE!
That's change, but it isn't change I can believe in.

You seem to think that people voted for Obama because they liked his ideas rather than the fact that they were tired of George Bush.

You know, those last several years, probably few of us would have wanted George W. Bush to run for a third term. I sure didn't.

But I wonder how many who voted for Barack Obama would have preferred George W. Bush to Obama now?

OL'BO was elected on his Hope and Change bs. I believe most of the voters, me included, thought this guy was going to clean up DC.

What did he do?? He came up with Porkulus, Crap and Trade, Green everything and his primo healthcare bill. He didn't address the economy or jobs. Just his bs agenda. He also let the left wing loons in his party write the bills. He was more than happy to sign them. He also wants to treat terrorists like 7-11 holdup men and give them the rights of a US citizen. The guys loopy.

Nope. His CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN ain't working for me or anyone I know. Hell. Even my friends that voted for this loser are ready for a CHANGE. They can hardly wait for a CHANGE. Neither can I. Jeeze.
