Glacial retreat photos

The point is you can't tell me the mechanism behind the warming.

its a natural cycle

It is most certainly not a natural cycle. It is the nearly 40% increase in CO2 as well as the other GHGs that we have put into the atmosphere.

Without GHGs in the atmosphere, the Earth would be a frozen ball. The temperature at even the equator would average well below the freezing point of water. It is the GHGs, primarily CO2 that give us our temperate climate. As we can see by the Ice Age cycles, when the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is at about 180 ppm, we have an Ice Age. When it is 280 ppm, we have an interglacial period such as we are enjoying at present.

However, when you rapidly increase GHGs, you get an adrupt climate change, a change that creates havoc with the existing life on Earth. We see that in the geologic record at the P-T extinction, and at the PETM. What the mechanism is that creates the GHGs is irrelevant, the results are a matter of physics. In the prior cases, the mechanism was trapp volcanics. Today, the mechansim is the actions of a species that believes itself to be intelligent. At what point the process becomes irreversible, we, as yet have no idea. Given the present attitude in this nation, and others, I am sure we will find out.

yet global temps are in a cooling cycle while CO2 is still rising
explain that

We are at the bottom of the solar cycle, but temps are still rising long term.

It was 74 degrees here today in the dead of winter.

actually, its not the "dead of winter" in VA
LOL you are on the DOWN side of it

and remember, thats anecdotal
the weather isn't climate
