I don't like the idea of Surprise Witnesses in real cases. Sure, its fun on the Perry Mason program, but this is real life.
But if the Libs can bring up surprise witnesses here like they did in the Kavanaugh hearings, the Republicans under Mitch McConnell should be able to do the same and present new , unheard of witnesses to exonerate the President.

I never said surprise witnesses, only that McConnell will decide who those witnesses are up front. Democrats cannot bring in surprise witnesses unless they are approved by Mitch, which of course, is unlikely to happen.
Laura was interviewing different representatives on her show last night. At least from what I gather, McConnell is kind of making trades with the Democrats on witnesses. He doesn't have to do it, but I guess to make it look like he wasn't being too partisan. But again, we won't know until next week what's really going to happen.
