This dovetails nicely with last week's call from British Army Chief, General Dannatt, who called for British withdrawl "soon" from Iraq, He said the presence of his soldiers only made only made the situation worse. This is very similar in tone to Foreign Secretary Beckett (where's Jack Straw when we need him), who said imprisoning terrorists in Gitmo makes the situation worse. The depth of the desire to appease from the bleeding British Labor leftists should not be underestimated. Tony Blair is among the few standup guys in the bunch. The British are starting to lose their resolve and the Neville Chamberlains of British politics have come back out of the closet, where they should have been entombed.
