Incensed at the way Trump has packed out the federal court system with more conservative-leaning justices Democrats have pounded the drum for an expansion of the high-tier cognoscenti.

Their interests of course is not in justice or is judicial excellence it is solely with being empowered to enforce their opinions on those who do not share them.

It would appear that John Roberts is not all conservative it would also appear that the nearly lifeless Ruth bader Ginsburg
Is not all liberal.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg is dead. That is a body double that look more like that it could be Larry King's body double. Since they have this new technology floating around. That someone needs to do a facial recognition test on her previous photos, to match them up with old photos of her. The ones right before the presidential campaign. And someone needs to do Hillary as well. And they should also make sure that they didn't cut and paste the latest photos of her. Because they has done a lousy job on Obama's birthcertificate. That it should be easy to determine whether it has been altered or not.

I would agree that adding more would not change anything as it still is just a number.

I would support another line which is to have a score card of prior rulings along the line of liberal, conservative, and moderate rulings. The court should be set up to have 4 liberals, 4 conservatives, and 1 moderate. Judges selected to the high court must fall within these categories based on how they ruled prior to being nominated. Openings should be filed as openings along these lines become vacant.

This keeps the Supreme Court balanced and nullifies political leanings.

You would expect a court to be unbiased but in today's world it is nearly impossible unless you have the moral fiber to be unbiased.

Roberts as being considered conservative has taken his job seriously and appears to be moderate.

It's a noble thought but the position of liberal and conservative is not a fixed definition. John Roberts supposedly conservative and yeah he has a long history of liberal rulings.

I agree. And that brings us to the question, why doesn't Ruth retire and live the balance of her life in comfort? She would be assured her replacement will agree with her on this position. She would also be assured that adherence to the constitution will be the guiding light in picking her replacement. She will probably have to endure the embarrassment of watching Democrats try to Kavanaugh the next nominee, you know they will, but in the end she will have the satisfaction of knowing Trump picked a fair and qualified person as her replacement.
