I have to agree with him. In a FOX round table discussion Newt responded to questions about his appearence with Nancy Pelosi supporting Al Gore's initiative on "global warming". Newt said "It was the dumbest thing I've done in years" but to conservatives he seems like a moderate opportunist looking for political support. The damage has been done and Newt looked like a typical liberal politician standing next to Nancy Pelosi. I'd vote for him like I voted for McCain though. A moderate republican is a hundred times better than a socialist democrat.

I like that he was honest and humble about it. None of them say and do the perfect thing all the time, and with time, things and situations, do change. I like Newt. He improves with age...

Newt "Family Values" Gingrich is a nut - but as far as I know he's not a religious nut. That's his only plus that I can think of.

I like that he was honest and humble about it as well. Well, I presume he was honest about it merely because he wasnt trying to squirm and justify and explain. he could very well be lying about it. But it sure doesnt sound like it.

As this race goes on he is becoming more and more impressive.

Family values? Can we assume that democrats get a pass because they don't support family values? The double standard is getting old. Is that all the ignorant lefties have in their arsenal?

Yes, I believe he was being very honest, as his embarrasingly humiliating grin and shaking his head slightly, back and forth, seemed to be in coordination with his verbal language. Body language and the spoken language were in sync, imo.

And what's more, I like his strong right leaning. :)

Gingrich is a smart guy. Probably the smartest politician around. He makes Barry Hussein look like a cheap community activist. That's why I'm puzzled about his lapse in judgment when he promoted the left's most notorious agenda.

Also, I like the way he "says it as it is", even if that includes ticking off a moderator. He doesn't seem to be politicking, imo. He is very self-confident and easy-going.

Newt Gingrich is brilliant--but I wouldn't refer to him as a moderate--he's not. Here is the interview yesterday with him describing his stance on mandatory health mandate back in the 90's.

And then another great short speech by him.

But apparently not so smart that he lent his already marginal credibility to a leftist nutbar premise, to the point that he appeared with one of the biggest intellectual frauds and demagogues of the last half century to peddle it.

Yes, Newt knows stuff - but he doesn't know what to do with it. He's an intellectual idiot. Reminds me of the "real" Rain Man (who is now deceased)...

Laurence Kim Peek (November 11, 1951 – December 19, 2009) was an American savant. Known as a "megasavant",[1][2][3] he had a photographic or eidetic memory, but also social difficulties, possibly resulting from a developmental disability related to congenital brain abnormalities. He was the inspiration for the character of Raymond Babbitt, played by Dustin Hoffman, in the movie Rain Man. Unlike Babbitt, Peek was not autistic[4] and likely had FG syndrome.[5]

The "family values" issue didn't work so now the radical left poses the the case that Gingrich is an autistic savant? You gotta laugh.

Socialist Democrat. Someone who wants all Americans to succeed. What a bad thing to be.
