1. "Newt Gingrich deflected a question ...by pointing out that Obama voted in favor of a law that protected abortion providers during his term as state senator of Illinois
"You did not once during the 2008 campaign ask why Barack Obama voted in favor of legalizing infanticide," Gingrich said. "If we're going to debate about who is the extremist on this issues, it is President Obama, who, as a state senator, voted to protect doctors who killed babies."
Newt Gingrich Calls Obama An 'Extremist' Who Supported 'Infanticide' At GOP Debate

2. n·fan·ti·cide/inˈfantiˌsīd/
Noun:
The practice in some societies of killing unwanted children soon after birth.

3. "Gingrich was presumably referencing Obama’s opposition to Illinois’ proposed version of a “born alive” law, intended to require doctors to administer immediate medical care to any infant that survived an intended abortion....FactCheck.org found holes in Obama’s explanations as to why he did not support the “born alive” legislation..."
FACT CHECK: Gingrich Claim on Obama Infanticide Vote A Stretch - Naureen Khan - NationalJournal.com

a. "Obama voted in committee against the 2003 state bill that was nearly identical to the federal act he says he would have supported. Both contained identical clauses saying that nothing in the bills could be construed to affect legal rights of an unborn fetus, according to an undisputed summary written immediately after the committee’s 2003 mark-up session."
FactCheck.org : Obama and ‘Infanticide’

4. If a child is 'accidentally' born alive as a result of a botched abortion attempt, Senator Obama had no problem allowing that newborn to die, sans any medical attention.

5. Now, lest anyone believe that there is a nuanced explanation that would be acceptable to normal people....consider the fact that President Obama appointed Professor Peter Singer as his heathcare advisor.
Peter Singer Joins Obama's Health Care Administrators : I Am Not a Fan of Peter Singer Story & Experience

a. "Singer once wrote, "because people are human does not mean that their lives are more valuable than animals." He not only advocates abortion but also killing disabled babies up to 28 days after they are born. In his book "Practical Ethics," he wrote, "When the death of a disabled infant will lead to the birth of another infant with better prospects of a happy life, the total amount of happiness will be greater if the disabled infant is killed.... Killing a disabled infant is not morally equivalent to killing a person. Often, it is not wrong at all."
Peter Singer, "Practical Ethics," Cambridge University Press, 1979, p. 191.

So...did Obama have a cavalier attitude about killing infants?
Would you appoint anyone who advises killing infants?....Obama did.
Was Gingrich correct?
Seems indisputable.

It is very true and was brought up last election cycle, it's that everyone was so excited about hope and change and didn't think of the consequences of electing a guy without looking at his record.

I remember reading this. If he had voted for giving the aborted fetus medical care he would essentially be admitting that they just tried to kill a baby and failed. So, he voted against giving the aborted fetus any life saving treatment. How callous and cold is that?

The liberals will vote for Obama regardless of his stance on abortion. The welfare bums and welfare whores will vote for Obama regardless of his stance on ANYTHING!

I will vote against Obama.

Indeed. Pretty hard to say pro-lifers are coming between the mother and her doctor. It becomes starkly obvious pro-lifers are really coming between the unborn and their butchers.

Can't have that!

I'm not certain that I would call the physicians and surgeons 'butchers'....

but when I think of individuals such as Barack Obama, or Peter Singer, who hold human life...and the most defenseless...babies.....with such disregard, the word that comes to mind is

.................'Monsters.'

This discussion points the bloody finger at the Fourth Estate...
....as I am certain that many good people who voted for this fraud would not have done so had the OP been put in its proper context.

I love that you fools are now mislabelling abortion as "infanticide". Infanticide is the murder of children, which Republican Party wholeheartedly and enthusiastically supports, because the US has the highest rate of infant mortality in the first world.

THIS is infanticide:

United States - 5.8 per 1,000
The infant mortality rate in the US is 5.8 per 1,000. Though below the world average, this is above the country's neighbors like Cuba and Canada. The higher rate in the US has been blamed on a lack of accessible healthcare and the lack of a quality social safety net in general. Low-income families and children in the United States are especially vulnerable to infant mortality.

Infant Mortality Rate by Country

This is the hypocrisy of right wingers. You don't care about children. You don't care about living breathing children. You care about controlling women, and punishing them for having sex.

'cause....if there isn't, and one is murder, so, then, is the other.

That's called logic.

45,000 American die every year because they don't have access to quality health care. Republicans don't care and are doing nothing about it.

35,000 Americans die every year from gunshot wounds, and Republicans don't care and do nothing about gun control.

70,000 people are dying every year because of opiod abuse, and don't care and do nothing to stop drug companies from addicting millions of Americans.

Republicans did NOTHING to stop the spread of AIDS, which became a HUGE public health crisis which killed hundreds of thousands of Americans, before the CDC started spending money to find the causes and treatments.

ONLY the unborn matter to Republican lawmakers. Real people are "welfare whores" and "deadbeats" and too lazy to work. We must save the unborn so we can let them die later.

What's more savage? Having an abortion, or cutting the CHiP program, which saw millions of poor children, not zygots, lose access to life-saving health care.

Or sending kids to schools with no resources, no books, no computers where they have no chance to get a real education or a job to work their way out of poverty?

And the two salient points in this discussion are

1. Abortion is the act of one human ending the existence of another

2. As the developing human is never a part of the 'mother,' where is her right to end his or her life?

The attempt to change the subject reveals that you recognize, and acknowledge the weakness of your position.

You may try to change the subject...but I won't allow you to.

Obama isn't President and he's not coming back.

1. His policies and failures remain, and you will continue to be reminded of same until you become a better, more intelligent person.

Hence....eternally.

2. Obama favored infancticide, and it is now mainstream Liberal/Democrat policy.

In short, your ilk are savages.

3. "Bill Nye: Anti-abortion laws are based on ‘ignorance’"
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...norance/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.5e083c569bf5

4. Is there any argument for the "right" of a woman to authorize the killing of her unborn baby that would not apply to her authorizing the similar slaughter of a year old that she was breastfeeding?

'cause....if there isn't, and one is murder, so, then, is the other.

That's called logic.

"Your ilk are savages".

What's more savage? Having an abortion, or cutting the CHiP program, which saw millions of poor children, not zygots, lose access to life-saving health care.

Or sending kids to schools with no resources, no books, no computers where they have no chance to get a real education or a job to work their way out of poverty?

Championing murder of the defenseless identifies you as a savage.

Hope that hurts.

'We Must Treat The Constitution As If It's Alive,' Says Man Who Doesn't Treat The Unborn That Way

QUEENS, NY—In a video uploaded to his social media accounts Tuesday, local political activist and lobbyist for the abortion industry Mick Landon explained that the Constitution must be treated as a living, evolving document, though he believes the unborn aren't living in any meaningful sense of the word.

The man who constantly refers to the Constitution as a living document still clings to the unscientific opinion that unborn babies are just unliving parasites, mere "clumps of cells" to be aborted at will, according to his statement.

"See, the Constitution is really alive. We have to allow it to grow and change with the times," he said, though he believes it's a woman's right to stop a child from growing in the womb. "Sure, it doesn't actually guarantee a right to an abortion in the strictest sense, but we became enlightened around the time of Roe v. Wade and allowed the living document to mature. We're more progressive now, because we can end the lives of the unborn with impunity."

"You've got to understand it was a more barbaric age when the Constitution was written," added the man who believes a society that murders hundreds of thousands of babies each year is some kind of progressive utopia.

"Don't let your understanding of the Constitution be burdened by what it actually says," he concluded.

Dont care? Lol. Pro choice is the ones who have killed 70 million in this country and now they want to kill babies already born. Dont tell us about who cares. Those fake tears fall on the ground and dry up quickly.

I'm not changing the subject. I am drilling into the hypocrisy of the right wing anti-abortion movement which consistently tries to control the narrative and the language of the abortion debate, in order to paint this as a "moral argument", because they lost the debate. Their position is legally, morally, and Constitutionally, indefensible, so they are now trying to rebrand abortion as "infanticide" because their argument is lost.

This PR campaign the right started in the 1970's when they rebranded themselves as the "right to life movement". This rebranding campaign was started by spin doctors who said they paint themselves as "anti-abortion" was turning people off. They needed to stand "for something" not against it.

Plus the Pro Choice crowd had a much better message. You can be pro choice and not have an abortion, if you think it's wrong. Anti-abortionists had lost the argument, and they're still losing the argument. That's why you're amping up the rhetoric and the lies.

If it's not your child, if it's not your womb, if it's not your family or your life, IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

Two irrefutable points categorize you as a blood-thirsty savage:

1. The fetus is a separate and distinct human being from the mother.

2. Nearly 100% of abortions are done for one reason: convenience.
