Fixing healthcare can be solved by the stroke of a pen; forbidding Healthinsurance from being used to directly pay for healthcare.

The problem with Healthcare in the US, is not particularly complex... it only becomes to appear complex where one tries to rationalize around the core of that problem.

The problem rests in the third party paying for Healthcare. PERIOD.

Thus attempts to FURTHER SOLIDIFY THE THIRD PAYER AS A RIGHT; is only... and CAN ONLY MAKE IT MUCH, MUCH WORSE; to the point of crippling the system. Which given that the problem is self-evident; and that the solution is so COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE... and that the people who are advocating such, are NOT running around Washington tearing off their clothes in fits of madness... the ONLY conclusion that one can reaonably sum, is that the people advocating the solution are intentionally trying to crash the system.

Regulate that the patient pay for their medical care; that insurance can only riemburse the patients expenditures; the immediate result will be that the PATIENT then get exposed to the ACTUAL COST OF HEALTHCARE; the patient can then see that his $12,000 HC premium just bought $100,000 or $500,000 in medical care.

As it stands now, the patient doesn't give red rats ASS what it cost, BECAUSE THEY ARE ONLY PAYING FOR THE INSURANCE!

In truth, if one took the heart tugging fraud that the Left has used to justify this recent subversive power grab, the 15 or 30 or 45 million uninsured, depending upon what Leftist you were listening to at the time; could have been solved by simply extending Medicare to that group.

Cries that Medicare can't afford it, are ABSURD! OF COURSE MEDICARE CAN'T AFFORD IT! This BILL HASN'T CHANGED THAT... THIS BILL MADE IT WORSE! Tjis bill has simply set up the destruction of the Private Healthinsurance industry... which can ONLY result in Socialized Medicine... which is MEDICARE FOR EVERYONE.
