As many people know, Frank Luntz helps rightwing candidates frame their message for maximum effect. He deals mostly with the subconscious, specifically the way in which certain words and phrases communicate to the primal part of the brain. He came up with "Death Tax" and helped word the Contract with America. Luntz advised Gingrich on Saul Alinsky, which is a very Jewish name. Alinsky was a Jew. There are many Americans who, like Henry Ford, believe that Jews have a disproportionate influence over banking, foreign policy, and entertainment/media. Nixon played into this with his oft-cited "Liberal Jewish Media", who he believed was secretly manipulating national opinion against him. He also entertained fantasies that Jews were secretly manipulating global finance. One sees these fantasies today on the fringes of the Right. Luntz chose Alinsky based on the dog whistle theory - meaning: anti-semites would react to it, while non-anti-semites would be none the wiser. Luntz wants to help Gingrich associate Obama with Jewish Bolshevism, which connects Jews to communism. He wants to create this shadowy world where Obama is Carter, Trotsky, and a Muslim. He wants to take advantage of any latent anti-semitism without referencing it directly. Has Luntz succeeded with the Alinsky reference?
