Germany has announced that it will not meet the 2020 emissions goals it agreed to in the 2015 Paris climate accord. Having abandoned wind power as a reliable energy source, it is now Europe's top producer of brown (dirty) coal, which provides about 1/4 of its energy supply.

Isn't it ironic that the U.S., which withdrew from this accord, is the world's top producer of clean coal and other less polluting energy resources?

Yup, just like how Bush pulled out of the Kyoto agreement and the other countries went on to fail meeting standards, while the US did just fine reducing emissions.

We were never in Kyoto.

Non-ratification by the US[edit]
The US signed the Protocol on 12 November 1998,[93] during the Clinton presidency. To become binding in the US, however, the treaty had to be ratified by the Senate, which had already passed the 1997 non-binding Byrd-Hagel Resolution, expressing disapproval of any international agreement that did not require developing countries to make emission reductions and "would seriously harm the economy of the United States". The resolution passed 95–0.[94] Therefore, even though the Clinton administration signed the treaty,[95] it was never submitted to the Senate for ratification.

Great. We all suck.

Let's see if America can follow the suckers but do better at sucking. Maybe we can get dirtier air and save on social security. Go 'merica!

Can't believe this is the "proud" place where the patriotic snowflakes get angry about boys KNEELING during the anthem.

Let's not even try. Go 'merica :(
