While shiny mosques spring up like mushrooms, schools are not subject of our politicians´ care. And they are the responsibility the states anyway. But they lack the funds to sanify our schools and want now to lift the ban of cooperation between federal government and states. This would require a constitutional amendment which on the other hand requires a poll in Bundestag and Bundesrat and both must agree with a 2/3 majority. If the government would agree? We have Schäuble, who reshuffles burdens on states and municipalities and steals from the solidarity supplement and the pension office to present his debt-free budgets.
