BERLIN – Arab youths threw stones at a Jewish dance group during a street festival in Hannover, injuring one dancer and forcing the group to cancel its performance, German police and dance officials said Thursday.

The teenagers also used a megaphone to shout anti-Semitic slurs during the attack Saturday, Hannover police spokesman Thorsten Schiewe said.

"I don't remember such a dramatic attack in Germany in recent times," said Michael Fuerst, the head of the Jewish community of the state of Lower Saxony.

Six suspects have been identified — five Arabic immigrants and one German — and police are looking for the other three, police said. The six range from nine to 19 years old and have been questioned by police.

"This latest incident shows something we have not experienced before: A growing radicalization of young Muslims, which affects not only the Jewish community but the entire German community," Kramer told The Associated Press.

That person called Kramer is head of Germany's equivalent to AIPAC, with the difference, that Germans dont give a damn about AIPAC.
To the religious Germans only the Pope matters. Good old Europe.
The Vatican itself is more interested in Orthodox-Catholic reconcilation.

A great comment from Nazi Pope, the ex-Hitler Youth member. :eusa_whistle:

As for Orthodox they don't want to reconciliation, they will never forget how the Catholic Church betrayed or worked against them during the dying days of the Byzantine Empire.

It is not just Germany...

1. In April, the far-right, anti-Semitic party Jobbik won 17 percent of the vote, and 26 seats, in Hungary. Jobbik has strong links with the paramilitary Hungarian Guard; its leader, Gabor Vona, was one of the Guard’s co-founders. The Guard, whose uniforms copy those of Hungary’s fascist party during World War II, has attacked Roma settlements and vilified Jews.

2. In September 2008, two pro-Nazi parties won a third of the seats in Austria’s national election. Six months later, Austria’s main far-right party, the Future of Austria (BZÖ), won a landslide victory in regional elections in the state of Carinthia—taking 45 percent of the vote. As well as being anti-Semitic, both parties are anti-Islam.

a. The head of the BZÖ, Stefan Petzner, has said he will not deviate “one millimeter” from the path of his predecessor, Jörg Haider, who led the party until his death in 2008. Haider admired SS soldiers as men of honor and once praised Hitler’s economic policies as being superior to those of the current Austrian government. He called Nazi concentration camps “punishment camps.” Spiegel Online reported that his popularity derived from his “constant, often xenophobic, attacks on immigration and his vocal opposition to accelerating European Union integration” (March 2, 2009).

3. Elsewhere on the Continent, mainstream parties are enacting laws that would have once been seen as extreme. Switzerland banned the construction of new minarets after 57.5 percent of voters supported the measure in a national referendum. In Belgium, a ban on wearing the burka has just become law. France is considering a similar ban.

4. For years, liberal European politicians have bent over backward to accommodate Muslims, who have migrated to the Continent in enormous numbers. Now, many Europeans are surveying the results of that policy and don’t like what they see. “f the 2008 economic crisis has revealed one thing,” wrote think tank Stratfor, “it is that nationalism is slowly becoming politically convenient, and a successful political strategy” (April 13).

a. “We are witnessing a process in which the elite—once happily co-opted by EU solidarity—turns toward nationalism,” Stratfor continued. “We can therefore expect to see not only a rise in far-right nationalism, but also a reorientation of center-right parties … toward a more traditional nationalist platform.”

b. Last year in Italy, for example, the mainstream center-right party, the People of Freedom bloc, merged with the pro-fascist National Alliance party, whose leaders have openly praised Benito Mussolini.

The Byzantine Empire? WTF? You claim they carry a grudge from 1205 A.D.? C'mon....surely they have much more recent and heartfelt reasons to dissent from the RCC.

Actually they do still hold that grudge (or at least a small minority of them do): Fourth Crusade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Fourth Crusade (1202–1204) was originally intended to conquer Muslim-controlled Jerusalem by means of an invasion through Egypt. Instead, in April 1204, the Crusaders of Western Europe invaded and conquered the Christian (Eastern Orthodox) city of Constantinople, capital of the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantine Empire). This is seen as one of the final acts in the Great Schism between the Eastern Orthodox Church and Roman Catholic Church.
The main reasons these days are to do with rights over churches and general politics.

You know, in all honesty it couldn't happen in a better place. Germans are some sick socialist perverts, and now they have a muslim problem. Sucks to be them.

Dear Christian,

I do not know where you are living, but obviously I do not have to share a country with you.

And yes, by constitution we are a "social and democratic federal state", whatever you want to make from that.

Notwithstanding, most Germans think, that any form of economic order needs a balance between the "social partners", workers, entrepreneurs etc. So far it helped us to make a war-destroyed country into one of the biggest industrial powers in the world.

To give you an idea how this can work, look at the numbers of unemployed in the U.S. and here. I would say, that our "sick and pervert socialism" manouvered us better through the crisis (btw who caused that ?).

And we are looking forward to have a growing economy, sinking unemployment and higher exports (perhaps only because the Chinese prefer a Porsche or BMW from a Ford or Chrysler).

But keep your insights and stay where you are.

No problem mein freund. I'm plenty familiar with your industrial utophia but I must admit I liked it A LOT better when there weren't as many muslims running around messing it up. Try to have more children please.

Well,

I have done my part ...

Anyway. I can not see that muslims are messing that up.
The little incident which caused this thread into existence is rather minor (well, not for the ones hit by stones, but that is another point).
THE muslimes actually are not existing. What happens is that some think to play the middle - east conflict here in Germany.
Most muslims here are of very different origin and all of them are very different and are integrated to a higher or lesser degree.

And our industrial utopia actually seems to be able to cope significantly better with the banking crisis than your free-market-utopia. Unemployment is sinking, companies are looking forward to hire even more people etc.

So, I personally like living here:eusa_angel:

BERLIN -- A Hamburg mosque once frequented by some of the Sept. 11 attackers was shut down Monday because German authorities believe the prayer house was again being used as a meeting point for Islamic radicals.

The Taiba mosque was closed and the cultural association that runs it was banned, Hamburg officials said in a statement.

"We have closed the mosque because it was a recruiting and meeting point for Islamic radicals who wanted to participate in so-called jihad or holy war," said Frank Reschreiter, a spokesman for Hamburg's state interior ministry. Reschreiter said Monday marked the first time the mosque had been closed, and that it had been under observation by local intelligence officers for "quite a long time."

"A very important factor for the radicalization of the group members was certainly their joint visits to the mosque," the intelligence report stated.

Dear Christian,

Before I moved to Turkey, I was in born Germany. Pforzheim to be exact. It is in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. Pforzheim itself is located immediately between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart. Distance to Stuttgart about 45 km, distance to Karlsruhe about 32 km.

Companies like Mercedes, Porsche, Bosch and SAP where founded in this region.
They produce also to environment-friendly conditions.
No US-type financial bubble over there. Hard-working people, who also appear to be very innovative.

For a Christian, Germany is the best place to live in.
For Muslims also, if they live in the "West". German people are not that much emotional, sometimes cool, but they are very tollerant people in general.
As long as you are no lazy person, primarily moving to Germany for social benefeits, then Germans will show you always respect and for your culture.

Also living standards, regulations in food and and and... Germans. The State authority takes real care of its citizens.
It is a very good country to live there.

*cough* *goes to be sick*

If you need to build a state and force people to be altruistic and do what you are told thats a failure. It's no wonder that the highest suicide rates are found in societies perceiving themselves as becoming socialist nanny states or being socialist nanny states, that includes the US and Germany.

It just takes a few bad apples to degenerate a rational opinion. I haven't been to your country in 15 years so I assume things have changed, either that or the anti-muslim sentiment has jaded reports from your country. I suspect that truth lies somewhere in the middle.

And I was over the top in my previous remarks which I realize offended you and for that I apologize although there is some truth to it that I've seen.
