That was just kind of stupid. Would you rather all our taxes go to pay for people serving life sentences? Sometimes at the cost of 6,000 a day in some states? If so, then you can pay it yourself, because I am not. Some people need to be eliminated, especially in a country that is becoming overpopulated quickly like ours. While I do not agree with putting someone to death if there is a chance of them being innocent, I do not agree that we should be rid of it completely.

From what I understand, it is actually more expensive to execute someone than it is to imprison them for life.

Not sure where. The cost of keeping them on death row is more expensive, but that could be fixed in a number of ways, just no one making the money off them are willing to change it. The execution itself however, is a lot less.

I choose to NOT base sentencing on cost or the probability of rehab. Both can lead to some fairly grievous crimes themselves.

It's far better to sentance someone according to what they deserve.

The US defence budget is so obviously a theft of the US people's hard earned money.... but because they are controlled and live in a dictatorship..they have no choice but to pay up.....they believe the scare stories and the fake wars ... after all if they didnt...they would be unpatriotic!
