Georgia death inquiries: With coroners, 'you pay for what you get'

We have a medical examiner system and not that many bodies get sent there unless the police are involved or the family requests it. If the family requests it, they have to pay for it. When my brother died from substance abuse, the doc just listed COD as "Natural Causes" and that was all that was done in this regard. Nobody asked him to. We were kind of shocked when we saw the death certificate.

in most states a coroner doesn't even require a BS degree, or an AS degree

many coroners are high school grads, or less

Aint AmeriKKKa a third world shit hole country?
