If we had a good CiC, then you might have a point.

Good point! President Obama is manifesting into one of the greatest CIC's America has ever produced. What with Osama bin Laden, Gaddafi, and Mubarak deleated, most of al-Qaeda depleated, and Bashar al-Assad about to fall, well... our CIC is not done yet.

A good CIC knows to listen to his military on military issues.

The military is under civilian control for a reason. Eisenhower correctly warned AGAINST doing only what the military asked.

A good general follows chain of command, keeps his mouth shut and doesn't let his troops mouth off to Rolling Stone Magazine.

Lucky for all of us, Obama's vast military experience, prior to his being POTUS, allowed him to make the tough military decisions.

Obama is a modern-day half-black Eisenhower.

One of the greatest really? Let's take a look at that if you don't mind OBL ok that's a given Momar and Libya well that was lead by NATO with France and England taking the lead and the U.S. pretty much doing nothing but watching Libya now has a weak central Government but it does have a Al-Qaeda presence strong enough to launch a coordinated attack that killed our ambassador his aide and two former navy seals to Egypt and Mubarak again we watched a hard line but pro western leader get tossed aside for the much more radical and anti western Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood perhaps you caught the less than kind words from a 2010 speech by Morsi about Israel and Jews that surfaced this week Al-Qaeda depleated see Libya and Syria as they are now having a strong impact in that conflict as well Assad about to fall maybe but we have been hearing that for what about two years now and the death toll in Syria is now up to 60,000 give or take.Becoming one of the greatest CIC America has ever produced no I think not as for the current CIC not being done yet I would submit he has hardly started.

The Muslim Brotherhood and Mexican Drug cartels think highly of Obama

President Obama, as CIC, played each of those scenarios perfectly.

Good to see a Commander in Chief put the military in it's place every once in a while. Good form President Obama.

WASHINGTON — In a memoir, Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the former American commander in Afghanistan, writes that tensions between the White House and the Pentagon were evident in the Obama administration from its opening months in office.
Is there anywhere in the book where he refers to Obabble as a low information neeeeeeeeeeeegro?? If not I shall pass....

No strong government in Libya but Al-Qaeda there a hard line anti western radical Islamic government in Egypt 60,000 dead and counting in Syria which will most likely end with either Assad staying in power or Syria becoming a failed state. If you consider that as being handled perfectly then you have very low standards.

Do the paint chips stay crunchy in milk?

obamination is hated by most in the military, the key is most people are smart enough to not tell the media they hate him.

I would suspect that tension between the president and generals is often the case. Each may have a different goal, and the president's goal is paramount. Generals should obey their superiors just as privates have to obey. Presidents, including FDR, let MacArthur go too far and maybe a few firings are needed in the military?

The only ones in the military that hate Obama are r-wing freaks such as yourself and thank God they are just a few when compared to the majority. :eusa_clap:

People in the military with college degrees on average dislike obamination since they understand he is a liar about really supporting the DoD with close to $1T in cuts the past 2 years while he grows the Federal budget in other areas.

The idiots in the military that support him are like you, dumb people that think obamination is hip and isn't a lying sack of shit.

I side with college graduates because I am one....you aren't.

I'll just bet the boys involved in that ongoing bug hunt in Afghanistan go to sleep every night with a picture of the Boiking under their pillows!

Democraps like Carter, Clinton and obamination are disliked by most in the military because many times those liberals have done and said negative things towards the military....like calling the military's actions in Iraq a failure and immoral like obamination.

Throw in cutting the DoD budget while shifting that money to pork projects and welfare programs doesn't sit well with people charged with defending this country before and after the scumbag leaves the White House.

You see Generals that have been serving since the 80s aren't impressed with a big-mouth, snot-nosed asshole from Chicago acting like he is the military genius because enough idiots voted for him. They will follow orders to the point he doesn't endanger this country. If he is going to cause the US to be destroyed by an enemy, he will be removed by Congress and the military quicker than you can blink.
