Did you see the news about the Move-On ad basically calling General Petraeus general “Betray Us”? It was a pretty lame and petty stunt in my opinion.

Shucks. I was hoping for a tiny bit more commentary on this. Perhaps some liberals and/or Democrats would say that this stunt was petty and inappropriate. - no offence Shogun.

You don't pay attention well. None of the liberals EVER critizes their team. The best you will get is, Well Moveon.Org isn't the democratic party routine.

I think you might find that many are disgusted by it. I must say I have avoided reading any ad or website or whatever that has a variation of the name "Petraeus" in it. It's a bit like "Repugs". "Rethugs" etc and "Dimocrats" and "Dhimmicrats" and all the rest of the words from both sides of the fence.

    It's childish.

I'm much more interested in why Petraeus didn't give sworn testimony. If that's the usual approach then that answers my question. If not asking his to take an oath was unusual practice then I'm interested to know why.

I prefer issues of substance over personal smears.

Durbin said, "Poor choice of words for 'Betray Us' remark". On the other hand, he never addressed the charge of 'tool of the administration...'

The substance is simple. Patraeus said that the surge is working.

    That is correct, dd.

He told other outright lies as well. Do you care to address the facts or is it your intention to parrot the lies?

According to retired General Wesley Clark, former candidate for the Democratic Party presidential nomination, former boss of General Petraeus, someone who knows Petraeus quite well and has for many years, "I think he'd never say something that he didn't believe was totally accurate."
