Gazans Fears Terror Tunnels as Much as Israelis Do

“Dear God — we will be torn apart,” said a 42-year-old woman in Khuzaa, a village near the fence. She spoke on the condition she be identified only as Umm Nidal — Arabic for mother of Nidal, her eldest son — for fear of reprisal by Hamas.

Gesturing at the lumpy sand lot where she believes a tunnel entry point is hidden next to the shelter of tin, tarp and wood where her family members have lived since their home was destroyed in the 2014 war between Israel and Hamas, she said, “I am sure, one million percent, that those with tunnels under their houses cannot sleep, or taste the joy of life.”

This is actually a good sign that the people of Gaza are starting to speak up and demand some sort of quality of life and understanding this means resisting Hamas and not futilely poking the big dog next door. Sadly, its going to make life in Gaza very difficult for a while, but hopefully these people will prevail eventually and the Gazans themselves can get on with the business of running a prosperous nation.
Not while the zionist entaty currently occuping Palestine bombs the only Airport in Gaza, and controls airspace waters and borders

YOU MEAN THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD OF COURSE.

Read the Geneva conventions and see what is considered a valid military target. The only borders controlled are the Israeli ones, hamas controls the Palestinian side of the border

There was an interesting article over at American Thinker that identifies a part of the problem. Those at the Useless UN somehow can't bring themselves to rational conclusions about Islamic terrorists digging tunnels into Israel. The excuses they invent would be laughable if not for the absurdity.

The last sentence is laughable: "it could not “conclusively determine the intent of Palestinian armed groups with regard to the construction and use of the tunnels.”

I suppose the solution is to add a few more Islamic terrorist nations to the UNHRC.

For years Hamas had been using building materials and an estimated 600,000 tons of concrete to build tunnels similar to, though much more skillfully constructed than, the Viet Cong tunnels dug in South Vietnam. The U.S. forces, the so called “tunnel rats” had to dispose of them using simply a pistol and a flashlight. Israel, between July 17 and August 5, 2014 using more advanced methods, disposed of 33 tunnels, 14 of which crossed into Israel, and one of which was 66 feet deep and 1.5 miles long.

The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has long been laughable. Its absurdity reached a zenith with the 284-page report on June 22, 2015 of its Independent Commission of Inquiry on the Gaza war chaired by the American jurist, Mary McGowan Davis who had replaced the discredited William Schabas. The Commission found there was no indication the Hamas tunnels were constructed to attack Israeli civilians. It did not say the tunnels were used as playgrounds for recreational purposes or for sightseeing trips, but it did say that it could not “conclusively determine the intent of Palestinian armed groups with regard to the construction and use of the tunnels.”
