GAZA, (PIC)-- The Gaza Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has launched the second phase in a project to restore the Byzantine Church in Jabalia (northern Gaza Strip).

The ministry proclaims an interest in preserving all of the strip's archaeological sites to highlight its historical interface.

The Byzantine church has many unique mosaic floors, and is characterized by images of fruits, birds and other animals depicting natural life in Gaza during the Byzantine era in 444AD.
