The early reports say he verbally objected to the FRC position on gays. It is highly unlikely that he is a right wing ideologue.

Officials said they were probing whether the attack was related to the Family Research Council's well-publicized conservative stands on issues. During the confrontation in the lobby, the suspect criticized the council's work, according to two law-enforcement officials.

The council was recently in the news when its president, Tony Perkins, defended the chief executive of restaurant chain Chick-fil-A, who had made comments critical of gay marriage. "All Chick-fil-A did was refuse to be bullied by the politically correct crowd," said Mr. Perkins in a radio commentary.

One law-enforcement official said the suspect was carrying Chick-fil-A-related items at the time of the shooting. A spokesperson for Chick-fil-A declined to comment.

Not much outrage in the liberal media. The A.P. didn't even have it on the Yahoo headlines I have to look at before I get my E-mail. The liberal "justice dept" gives the OK to offer the shooter who killed 6 people in an attempt to murder a congresswoman a plea deal because they realized that the shooter was left wing instead or right wing and the trial might expose left wing bias. The "justice dept" seems reluctant to try the jihad major for killing 13 of his own men because the trial might uncover uncomfortable facts about the administration's agenda. Now we have what seems to be a hate crime perpetrated by a left wing shooter and the media virtually ignores it.
