It appears to be a part of the gay agenda to sue churches and other private facilities that do not agree with their personal choices.

Freedom of speech is infringed also. No name calling or else.

April 2009, Gay Couple Sues Country Club Alleging Discrimination

Couple says they can only be "guests," not members of the New Jersey club.....

He and his partner, Stewart Grossman, who was born in Brooklyn, inquired about joining the Glen Ridge Country Club. But an email response from the Controller, Amy Sikkerbol, said Norton's partner would only have guest privileges, "this is a very old rule still in force that says couples must be married."

The side of the story as the ACLU saw it.
Advocacy on Behalf of Gay Men Verbally Abused by McDonald's Staff
09/16/2008
The ACLU is representing two gay men in an official complaint to the Louisville Human Relations Commission after an employee at a McDonald’s restaurant in downtown Louisville called them and three friends a series of anti-gay slurs.

Ryan Marlatt, Teddy Eggers, and three other friends had stopped for lunch at the McDonald's restaurant on July 26, 2008, while visiting Louisville for the weekend. While they waited for their food to be prepared, an employee behind the counter referred to them as "faggots" to another employee. Marlatt and Eggers asked to speak with a manager. As they waited for the supervisor on duty to appear, the employee who had called them "faggots" started arguing with them, repeatedly calling them "faggots" in front of other customers and calling one of them a "cocksucker" and "bitch."

The supervisor on duty refused to refund the group's purchase, claiming that only the restaurant's general manager could authorize a refund. Marlatt said he attempted several times in the following weeks to contact both the general manager of the McDonald's and the corporate offices. But when he filed reports with a corporate customer service number for McDonald's, Marlatt said, he never received any sort of response, and every time he called the McDonald's where the incident took place the staff hung up on him.
It appears that freedom of speech is really a one way street with the ACLU.
ACLU Joins National Gay Rights Groups Calling on Fort Lauderdale City Commission to Condemn Mayor's Anti-Gay Remarks
"The Mayor has a right to engage in free speech and express his prejudices, but others also have that same free speech right to condemn his narrow-mindedness," said Howard Simon, Executive Director of the ACLU of Florida. "And the City Commission has a responsibility to speak as a body to prevent the Mayor's slurs from damaging Fort Lauderdale's otherwise well-deserved reputation as a tolerant, diverse and gay-friendly tourist destination and place to live."

Public Schools cannot filter out sexual content on the Internet according to the ACLU.
ACLU Demands Tennessee Schools Stop Censoring Gay Educational Websites
(4/15/2009)
NASHVILLE, TN - As many as 107 Tennessee public school districts could be illegally preventing students from accessing online information about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues, according to a letter to sent to school officials by the American Civil Liberties Union. The letter demands that Knox County Schools, Metro Nashville Public Schools, and the Tennessee Schools Cooperative unblock the Internet filtering category designated “LGBT” so that students can access political and educational information about LGBT issues on school computers.
The agenda to destroy church based schools appears to be a real threat.
Federal Appeals Court To Hear Challenge To Kentucky Childcare Agency’s ‘Faith-Based’ Bias (3/9/2009)

CINCINNATI, OH -- Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the American Civil Liberties Union will urge a federal appeals court on Wednesday to uphold the right of taxpayers to challenge public funding of a Baptist childcare agency that proselytizes youngsters in its care and discriminates against gay employees who do not share its belief that homosexuality is sinful.

Birth certificates altered because the sex was... This is ridiculous if you are born one gender that is what is on your birth certificate.
Women Ask Court to Order New Illinois Birth Certificates Following Sex Reassignment Surgery Abroad (01/27/2009)
CHICAGO – Citing the need to have an accurate birth certificate for identification purposes, two women born in Illinois today asked a court to order the state to issue new birth certificates that reflect their appropriate and accurate gender following gender confirmation surgery (sometimes described as sex reassignment surgery). For more than four decades, Illinois has permitted individuals who have gender confirmation surgery to change the gender “marker” on an original birth certificate; the Department of Vital Records, however, recently started interpreting the law to provide this option only if an individual has the surgery by a United States-licensed physician. This creates an unnecessary and unfair burden for the growing number of persons who select a surgeon from Europe, South America or Asia. Both of the women in today’s lawsuit opted for their own reasons to have their gender confirmation surgery in Thailand.

The only good point you have is the first one, the others are just the right thing to do and bringing them up is bullshit.

Telling a church or a business that they have to follow your protocal concerning freedoms is bullshit..

That last one is a winner though when someone expects a permanant document to hide something that was their own personal choice.

If these people have change their sex that does not validate that their burth record could be changed. Anyone they would wish to partner with has the right to look at vital records and know that they are accurate.

You can't force people to share your beliefs. You can't force them to do things your way. They have rights too and these rights are also protected by law.

However, the only one that demonstrates this is the first one you posted, the rest are viable.

You can't force people to agree with anything. It does not work. That is where freedom of choice comes in. Freedom of speech. Plus private property rights. The right to worship and believe in ones faith is granted by the consititution. Forcing a change to punish freedom of speech and religious rights violates civil rights that are granted by the constitution.

Caiming a school cannot regulate it's Internet service against anything with sexual content in it is absurd.

To claim you are protecting rights to free speech in one case and then violating anothers right to free speech in another case is total hypocrisy.

It appears that Christians are not afforded the same protections as gay activist. This story is a story from 2006 but one I had not read before.

Your freedoms of speech -- and of thought -- are disappearing before your eyes. Are you going to do anything about it . . . while you still can?

WORCESTER, MA (SATURDAY EVENING, FEB. 18, 2006) Approximately 100 pro-homosexual activists illegally stood in the streets outside of historic Mechanics Hall in Worcester attempting to intimidate and frighten the 250 attendees of a Christian event inside which dealt with heterosexuality versus homosexuality, and how the Gospels can save people from that affliction. According to a local website with official statements from the city's "Human Rights Commission," the Mayor of Worcester, a City Councilor, and a School Committee member participated in the demonstrations.

The demonstrations and protests outside the building culminated weeks of intense pressure from various homosexual groups and local left-wing churches attempting to force the event to be cancelled. This included several death threats sent to Pastor Tom Crouse, the organizer of the event, and various threatening communications with people providing the venues. A local hotel was forced to refuse them, and the manager of Mechanics Hall reportedly received threatening phone calls at home.

However, the police demanded that Pastor Crouse pay them $6200.00 up front, to "protect" them from the expected demonstrators, or else the event would not be allowed to take place. The money paid for a detail of police, rented equipment to search the attendees, and training for the security staff to use the equipment.

The Worcester police blatantly allowed the protesters to illegally congregate in the street outside the hall. And in fact, the police blocked traffic to make it easier for them to do it! When we telephoned the Worcester Police Department afterwards, police officials admitted to us that no one had been issued a permit to demonstrate, or to stand in the street, etc. In addition, even though the protesters had identified themselves many days beforehand and announced their intention to be outside the event, none of them were charged any money at all, according to police spokesmen we talked with.

On the other hand, attendees inside were forced to endure airport-style security searches and other things which no other event at that hall ever requires. One officer (who was later identified to as the Chief of Police) told one of our camera people that he may not stand on the sidewalk in front of the building and take pictures -- and if he did, he would be arrested!

Public officials and other anti-Christians. Statement on quasi-official website, Coming soon! - iWorcester.com - (along with a list of 215 signers of a "Hate Has No Home Here" petition, which the Mayor also signed):

"Thank You. To everyone who bundled up to the cold and came to stand and witness with us - we thank you! . . . We publicly thank Mayor Tim Murray, City Councilor Kate Toomey, and School Committee Member Joe O'Brien who stood with us. And a final two thanks to United Congregational Church for the great music, great food and a nice warm room after the vigil and Pastor Judy Hanlon of Hadwen Park Church for her gift of music."

Here's the Mayor's public statement, also on that website (an inversion of the truth!):

Statement of Worcester Mayor Tim Murray Regarding the Mr. Hetero Contest

What makes Worcester a great city is the diversity of its people and the respect we share for each other. The Worcester I know values all people and abhors discrimination in any form. We must respect everyone's right to free speech even those people with whom we don't agree. However, we must also vigorously exercise our own right to speak out and speak up and say we don't condone or support events which unfairly and unjustly target a group of people because of their sexual orientation.

A Pastor's decision to make a Christian statement.

Several months back, Pastor Crouse decided he'd had enough. Like everyone else, he'd endured years of depraved public "gay pride" parades, gay exhibits, gay banquets, and gay programs in the schools. Then he read about a "Mr. Gay International" event being held out in San Diego, and he decided it was time for a little equality and tolerance.

If they can hold a public "Mr. Gay" event, why not a "Mr. Heterosexual" event? So Pastor Crouse started putting things together, making arrangements, etc, for his "Mr. Hetero" contest. Sure, it's a little corny, but underneath there's a solid message -- that reminds one of George Orwell's observation that "there are times when the obvious must constantly be re-stated."

Actually, it turned out to be a lot of good, clean fun, along with a dose of the Gospels. The theme of the event was "A celebration of God's design of heterosexuality." In addition to contestants, he also invited a former homosexual to speak during the event on how Jesus Christ freed him from that spiritual and physical path to self-destruction.

The appearance of an ex-gay represents a particular point of rage to the homosexual community. During this conference, Jonathan Owens, a 22-year-old ex-gay talked about how he had gotten addicted to pornography in middle school. Then in high school, the gay pornography overtook him. Then he had homosexual affairs with two males. Finally, at a retreat that he attended, the whole message of Christ came to him. He said that he decided to temporarily "starve himself" from worldly things, and with great spiritual effort, he got it out of his system.
This isn't the America you used to know. As soon as the word got out, the gay brownshirts started threatening Rev. Crouse personally, from not only Massachusetts, but also from other states. They intimidated the original hotel that had agreed to rent them the space for the event -- the Sturbridge Host -- enough to cancel on them two days later.

At the end of the evening, Rev. Crouse went out of his way to thank the management of Mechanics Hall for their bravery, in agreeing to allow the event take place there.

I shared a story about a gay man I knew on another forum that had gotten out of the life of drugs and sex. It inflamed one of the gay men so much he started yelling profanities and hateful trash at me through his chat boxes.

I had a transvestite that sat on my porch one day and cried for hours as he told me his story. It was very sad indeed. The he/she was so sorry for the choice he had made and just needed someone to talk to. He lived in one of my rental houses and people locally did not cotton to making friends with him. It all comes down to choices we make with the freedom we are given. In as much as one has the right to choose this lifestyle the others have a right to reject it.

Connecticut’s Homosexuals open a final push to destroy the Catholic Church

Monday, March 09, 2009

On March 5 the Connecticut State Legislature Judiciary Committee which is jointly chaired by Senator Andrew McDonald and Representative Michael Lawlor launched a direct attack on the Roman Catholic Churches in their state. The assault came in the form of a bill that would force Connecticut Catholic Bishops to relinquish control of their parishes and turn them over to a committee of lay parishioners. The view of the Diocese of Bridgeport is that this move “directly attacks the Roman Catholic Church and our Faith.”

If this bill becomes law it will exclude bishops from having any say in the workings of parishes and open each of them to secular influences that would certainly eventually lead to silencing the Church on important issues. If the wrong group of parishioners took power they could enforce rules directly challenging Catholic doctrine.

Since this is a blatant violation of the doctrine of separation of Church and State, and clearly at odds with the 1st and 14th Amendments and is a bill of attainder, it begs the questions: Why would this bill be introduced and cui bono ( who benefits)?

It appears to be a part of the gay agenda to sue churches and other private facilities that do not agree with their personal choices.

Stop that crazy talk, there is NO gay agenda, they just want equality. They would never try to shout down or vilify their opponents and they certainly wouldn't file law suits or introduce legislation that curtails others freedoms. :eusa_angel:

EDMONTON: Gay attack on Catholic church
I could not pass up posting this one.

Coming to an Episcopal Church near you

I was really considering not sharing some of this but it is appropriate to let folks know what is going on. I see quite a bit of aggression coming from Satan against the Catholic church in regards to the homosexual agenda.

Yesterday when I went to mass to my utter horror I found Mayor Mandel and his homosexual buddies were holding a 'Pride Brunch" directly across from the church sanctuary. I immediately went to my priest who delivered a wonderful homily and touched on sexual purity yesterday morning. I found my priest was very sad the sodo, mites got themselves in to the church hall, but there was nothing he could do to get them out. He encouraged us to pray before the Blessed Sacrament in regards to this blatant attack against our church by the homosexual lobby.

Apparently the sodo, mites used deception to rent the banquet room and they obviously expected confrontation as they posted two Edmonton Police Service plain clothes officers at the door of my church's banquet room.

I did pray and then I became quite upset at this blatant attack on our church. Really there is more than 100 banquet rooms in Edmonton that would only be too happy to host the Mayor's homosexual pride brunch. If they really wanted a church I'm sure the Anglicans and United Church would probably give them a banquet for free just to register their approval for homosexual pride. But nope they had to target the most Conservative Catholic Church in the city.

Anyways I decided if they really wanted a brunch there than some good preaching and meal disruption was in order. So I marched in and called on the sodo, mites to repent and get right with Almighty God. I lasted for about 4 seconds and the two cops grabbed me by my arms and physically dragged me out of my church and on to the public sidewalk before they let me go.

They warned me if I set foot on my church's property again I would be arrested and charged with tresspassing. I told them homosexuality is an abomination and contrary to my church's moral teachings. I also told them I am a Catholic and this is my church. The police wen't back to the sodomfest taking place in my church hall. I went to the Sanctuary tried to pray and got more mad. I called a Lutheran pastor friend of mine and told him what happened and said I wanted to go back in to the homo pride brunch and get arrested. The Pastor is very wise. He told me to cool it, pray and use my Mayor's campaign to hit back strategically. Really getting arrested at the beginning of my election campaign would be more of a hindrance than do anything useful. I took the advice, left the sodo, mite brunch alone, prayed some more and then I needed to take a leak.

When I went to the washroom I guess one of the plainclothes EPS cops saw me go in. Before I was done my leak both cops were in the washroom looking at me while I was finishing my business. This was rather annoying. At any rate just as I zippered up they decided to lay in to me. One asked "What part of leave didn't you understand?" I informed the cop the priest never asked me to leave and as far as I know the only place I can't go is the sodom brunch. I once again told the cop this church is my church as I am a Catholic and he can't make me leave. I then told him if he wanted the optics of it he could cuff me and drag me out if he wished.

The officer asked if I wanted that. I told him no, I wanted to be left alone so I could go back to the sanctuary and pray for God to either convert or confuse the wicked plans of those sodo, mites in my church banquet room. The officer said so long as I stayed in the sanctuary there was no need to escalate the confrontation. Fine by me. I went back to prayer the police went back to Mandel's little sodom pride brunch.

"I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18

So, if gays set up a club, they'd let Fred Phelps in?

Probably not.

Sometimes, being a big person means accepting the fact that not everybody wants you in their club.

I agree, that particular case is wrong. The others however are harassment cases, which anyone would have filed, just that the groups that help the most tend to be those who are advocates of a particular group you belong to. I would use the local Jewish Federation for instance, if I ever bothered (I hate lawsuits personally). But those ones are legitimate because a real law was broken.
