Gameover: Hate filmmaker jailed

The man's in prison for violating the terms of his parole, NOT for making that video.

Do you think the radicals in the Middle Eat know that or do you think that they believe that they forced the might USA to capitulate to their demands? Do you think the next time someone in the US burns a koran or draws a cartoon or puts ole Mo in a bear suit that we won't see violence in the M.E. trying to force us to punish the perpetrator?

THIS. to the other side, it looks like they won. Expect more violence because now they think it will work.

The judge cited a "lengthy pattern of deception," including making false statements to probation officials. "The court has a lack of trust in the defendant at this time," Judge Suzanne H. Segal said, adding that he posed "some danger to the community."

Does anyone else smell bullshit?

From what I've heard the man was jailed for utilizing the internet without permission.

What the fuck does that mean? It's not like this guy was peddling child porn or something.

Maybe the administration should be jailed for misleading the public about this attack. Their lies are far worse than any he may have perpetrated.

Judge deemed him as a flee risk..

So he has been detained, because he is on FELONY probation. Standard procedure.

But, I am sure some people will try and play connect the imaginary dots and somehow manage to pretend that Obama had something to with this.

Of course it is a choice what people believe in, but there are a few people who take their religion very seriously.
I don't think any religion should be mocked - especially in a movie based on lies.

Shut up with this bullshit FASCIST crap this early in the morning. This is America.. If you don't like free speech, you're free to fucking leave and fast! Take your sorry ass out the damn door and take all those who believe as you do, WITH YOU.

It appears that YOU are the one who is attempting to supress free speech. :D

For opposing the execution of someone for using his right to free speech?

He was question about a week ago regarding his internet usage, but not detained on that grounds.

He is on felony probation for fraud, specifically electronic fraud.

It is standard practice for fraud convicts to be unable to use the internet under aliases.

That is not standard procedure. The man wasn't out on bail awaiting trial.

The guy is a coward who made an anti Islamic film and then was too gutless to show his face.

OK, but what danger did that pose? What MADE people react? How can one make another believe anything? Isn't it choice?

Again I ask, is any of the things the man did a crime? are we a religious republic now who jail people who insult religion?

You make a habit of being wrong... ALOT.

He pleaded no contest in 2010: Link to story.

He served 21 months in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release.

The terrorists have won in their eyes and that is far more dangerous to Americans than anything this man has done.

I agree. It doesn't matter whatsoever that we realize he wasnt detained for the video itself. It matters what they think and they clearly see this as a victory.

You do realize your facts just concern that he wasnt out on bail awaiting trial, right?

Judge orders 'Innocence of Muslims' filmmaker to jail - latimes.com

He must be executed with his extremist supporters for posing danger to the community.

Um, he was jailed because he was a flight risk. He is accused of violating the terms of his probation. He was not jailed for insulting some prophet of supernatural creature. Execution is out of the questions.

In other words, he was jailed for insulting the prophet. When did "becoming a flight risk" become a crime in lieu of any other crime?

Probation =\= bail.

You further proved my point.

I have been on probation and parole and out on bail awaiting trial. It is you who is clueless

Yes, I proved that he was wrong..

As for his use of the internet, it is a standard procedure for fraud convicts to have restricted internet use.

But, that was not why he was detained, he was recently detained because he was deemed a flight risk.. He still owes the state around $700,000 in restitution and is now involved in a high profile news story... Definitive flight risk, if I ever saw one..

He already WENT TO TRIAL... He pleaded no contest in 2010 for his fraud convictions..

Thus served 21 months and is now in the process of serving his 5 years of probation.

Yes. Both of us know he went to trial and is on parole/probation.

Hence, why Bail isn't an issue. Which is our entire point.
