Found this quote on page eleven from a linear programming textbook that was by Katta G. Murty:

From the prisoner's dilemma approach I feel it is better strategy to be cooperatively concessive rather than competitively collusive. Superior outcomes ensue when one settles by choice in place of being sorry.
